« Lovely renovated building with completely up-to-date rooms. Breakfast was excellent: cheese eggs, grits, apple cinnamon oatmeal, blueberry mini muffins, cinnamon raisin toast, bagels, yogurt with real fruit, and whole fresh fruit. Way more than you would expect at your usual hotel continental breakfast. We took a stroll around the historic grounds and sat by the New River for a bit. « This was out second stay at Smithfield Inn. It is a beautiful inn. The staff was very nice & hospitable. The first time we stayed we ate breakfast in the inn dining room which was much better than the bakery/cafe where your abreast now. »
