« Very clean & nicely decorated, however would sacrifice adorement for more functional surfaces. No normal upholstered chairs & kitchenette very difficult to function in. Internet marginal for working vacationers & didn't recall ceiling height in loft being mentioned (too low to stand up) Hot tub was a real bonus yet having dry towels was a challenge. Great location for National Volcano Park but pretty far from beaches. »

« First floor room (gecko) has terrible smell (possibly mold) that we had to endure through the night. We stayed here only one night and it was a very tiring experience with trying to fix that smell but couldn’t do it at all despite of trying candle, room freshener, my perfume. We ended up sleeping upstairs in one unit to get some sleep. The weird part is that property is at a great place and upstairs unit is very well maintained, so not sure why such a simple but important check is missed. We...

« Think of it as luxury camping and you'll be happy. If your idea of comfort is umbrella drinks by the pool, you will not. Personally, I loved it. But it's not for everyone. This is a rustic cabin in the jungle. 4.5 miles off the main road, 2.2 miles of it is dirt (well maintained, regular cars not a problem). 15 minute drive to nearest civilization (the part of the description being in the middle of a historic town is inaccurate - it's 7 miles outside a historic town).
