National Cycle Network route 1 The minor road along the southern bank of the River Tweed is used by route 1 between Newcastle and Edinburgh. A very attractive road with fine river and forest scenery and little traffic. Passing Elibank, looking westward.

Road entering Elibank Forest Larch needles and the remains of an old road sign on the road that runs along the south bank of the Tweed between Ashiestiel Bridge and Peebles. This part of the road is a very scenic section of route 1 of the National Cycle Network.

Vie de chateau avec ou sans fantĂŽme...
TrÚs bel hÎtel (fidÚle à la photo), dans la campagne et entouré d'un magnifique parc tout en étant proche d'Edimbourg en voiture. Par contre les deux chambres que nous avons eues étaient petites avec un aménagement succinct qui n'avait rien à voir avec les photos.

Very welcoming and decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. Amenities were great and for me the location was perfect. I enjoyed being able to host my family and friends. Irene & Ewan were very welcoming and supportive hosts and I highly recommend.
