Einzigartiges Dorf
Das Hotel liegt in einem sagenhaft schönen Dorf,das sehr sehenswerte "Abbey " ist direkt gegenüber. Wunderbare Wanderwege, z.B. entlang der Themse. Locatiion von Midsomer Murders ( Inspecktor Barnaby). Service beim Frühstück klappt auf Nachfrage. Historisches Haus; Wasserflecken ( Schimmel?) an der Wand. Zimmer groß genug, scghönes Ambiente. Preis (100€ pro Nacht zu teuer.

SOrry, old is not an excuse for dirty
Checkìn was pretty easy, parking space was great, but: the rooms are pretty small and you can speak with your neighbour so thin are the walls. Location is more than 14 km outside of Oxxford. The room was not only small, it was also dirty, special the shower. My wife refused to walk without socks, so dirty was the carpet (probably not from the 15th century but certainly from the last century). The TV didn`t real work (no TVs in th 15th century), WiFi worked great Breakfast was okay, the breakfast room was impressive (compared to the room very nice). We have been the last 3 days in different B&Bs and Hotels in Southwest England, all around the same price like this hotel. I am sorry, that I have to say, that this hotel was the worst off all our stays in Southwest England. This is certainly a hotel, which we won`t use a second time.

The George Hotel was a great place to stay for my son's wedding at Fison Barn, Little Whittenham. We stayed for two nights and wished that we had booked for longer. The staff was excellent, the food was fantastic, and the rooms were characterful. My mother stayed in the accessible room and enjoyed the facilities easily. We hope to get back to you soon.

Really easy to find and plenty of free parking. Walking up to the entrance was so beautiful with all the feature lighting and the church in the background. Staff so friendly and the room was just as it was shown in the pictures. Its so big and plenty of different areas to sit and have a drink and the decor was suitable to the history of the building. Food was lovely too. Stayed for one night but could of easily stayed longer.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and clean, the rooms being themed were abit of a surprise but that just added to the character. Breakfast was lovely and a good choice for all. Parking is handy, through quite a narrow entrance and is a bit ‘potholey’ but nothing you can’t navigate. Not many shops around the area but there is a coop food a few doors away and plenty in nearby Wallingford to keep you supplied. The only thing I will say is if you have the four poster bed and you’re remotely clumsy, watch your knees on the edge of the bed!

I'm becoming a regular at this hotel. I wish it was closer to the area where I work because I would stay here all the time. Brilliant food, staff, lovely themed rooms. Car parking, quiet, 15 minutes from Oxford and 40 minutes from Reading. Lovely village in the countryside.

A wonderful weekend break. Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The food was excellent - being both vegan and gluten free, we are tricky customers but the staff accommodated us brilliantly. The room was lovely and the parking safe and convenient. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. I would heartily recommend 'The George Hotel'.

Really helpful, professional and friendly staff. Great room well equipped and comfortable. I slept well. I had room with beamed ceilings which are notoriously difficult to keep clean and cobweb free, but the house keeping did a great job! Lots of parking with no issues. The George Hotel is a lovely place to stay, it’s clean, has good parking facilities, tastefully decorates and the staff were friendly and helpful. would throughly recommend staying. The only thing I would suggest is if you have any food allergies or intolerance to let them know before you stay. I’m intolerant to wheat and although they had a couple of options that were GF they didn’t really seem to cater for GF, but feel this was probably my mistake for not making them aware beforehand.

Room 109 is compact but comfortable and functional. The staff were great. Breakfast was delicious. Situated in a quaint village with a nice walk to and along the Thames Path.

Absolutely fantastic rooms since the refurbishment. Staff are very friendly. I've been visiting for ten years due to work close by. Given the refurbishment, money spent the food does not do the place justice. Very standard menu with little or no extra specials.
