Hotels nahe Wasserfälle Yoshigoro (Matsumoto)

„Spacious, comfortable and clean traditional Japanese room. Old but well maintained. The view from the room was great, the Ibsen was nice. Overall a very pleasant time spent in the hotel during the daytime/evening. Instead of beds we hat to sleep on futon directly on the floor - I was looking forward for a bed in the next hotel. Still, would definitely return.“

„Its a very good hotel with a fantastic onsen a great view and in the near of the shinotaka ropeway. They gave us free bycicles to go there. The only thing I didn't check properly was to book breakfast and dinner. In the middle of nowhere it is impossible to buy food out of season. So we had to order breakfast and dinner which cost the same as two nights in this hotel. Maybe it was a little naive but I whished that expedia or the hotel would inform us about the missing of a supermarket or ...

„The food is super good.“

„Nice authentic Onsen, the meals were high quality and very authentic. The establishment would need a lift up but it was clean, large room with excellent meals.“

„We’ve read the reviews of other people before the visit and we did not know what to expect. We stayed at the property for two nights and we were quite happy with our stay. Dinner and breakfast were very good, private onsens were amazing. Private onsens could use a good scrub (that was the only con for our stay). Access is via a bus from Takayama 1.5h - plenty of walks around. “

„If you want a traditional Japanese experience and get away from the main towns, then this hotel is for you. Yes, you can take the Western rooms, but the Japanese rooms will give you a better local vibe. If you take the breakfast and dinner option, then be prepared not to eat anything else. They supply yukata's and belts and you'll feel more comfortable being in traditional garb. It's a slog out and back to Matsumoto, so just make that a one-off day trip. Hirayu is much closer (15-mins) now the ...
