Our stay at the Manor House was for a family getaway with 3 generations. We had a wonderful time fishing, swimming and just hanging on the beautiful deck overlooking the property. The house was exactly as depicted in the listing. Very spacious, clean, nicely decorated and the kitchen was stocked with many of the little things we needed. I highly recommend this property for a large group and hope that we can return again, perhaps in the winter for a ski vacation since it is located so close to Mt Snow. Great time!!

Lovely property for a fun-family weekend

The house is located on a picturesque estate in a quaint Vermont town. The house has many amenities for summer fun, great bedrooms, a well-stocked kitchen, and hosts that made everything very easy to access. We were impressed with the thoughtful baskets from the owners, and the porch was huge and perfect for dining, hanging out, and relaxing.

Gorgeous property & pro host

This house is absolutely beautiful and the amenities are very well thought out. The space is both sunny and bright in the daytime and warm & inviting by two hearths at night. The host is very attentive and communicative. The property and estate grounds provide for serene surroundings; and top notch food & drinks are found at restaurant/bar on site. Walk to Valley Trail for easy stroll into town for additional restaurant and entertainment options. Our stay was fabulous. We had everything we needed and more.

Great for a family or friends gathering.

The Manor was even better than expected. The property is beautiful and easily accessible. Our family and my wife’s sister’s family, with our combined four college age children felt very comfortable and had more than enough room to gather. The hot tub is fantastic and the fireplaces made it charming and cozy for us. We walked to the Sawmill restaurant from the house one night where we had an incredible meal. Mike was very responsive and accommodating before and during our stay. We highly recommend it!

AMAZING Family Retreat!

My family and I were absolutely blown away by this property! The manager, Michael, was super professional and communicated everything we needed to know well in advance of our stay. Check-in was effortless and the house and grounds were stunning! Very well maintained, super clean, and had so many amenities! We even had two gift baskets of goodies waiting for us upon arrival which was so generous! The candy and gumball machines were a treat for everyone! The firepit and jacuzzi were lovely outdoor features! Plenty of porch seating for everyone! We utilized the paddleboard, canoe, and kayak for the lake. The kitchen had everything we needed to serve a large group! We were delighted to find a second fridge in the garage which was super helpful! The beds were very comfortable! The kids loved the toys, games, and stuffed animals! Great time had by all! Upon arriving home, we realized our youngest left his most prized teddy bear at the house and Michael immediately went to the house to check, located the bear, and overnighted it to us! He even took a picture of the bear getting into the box to start his journey home to show my son which was so thoughtful! Michael’s genuine kindness was so heartwarming! Many many thanks! We will definitely be back!

Great property

Fantastic stay. It was the perfect relaxation experience. The Manor was beautiful and offered everything we needed. We swam, paddle boarded and kayaked during the day and relaxed in the hot tub at night. There are great restaurants in the area such as Two Tannery, The Hermitage, Saw Mill and 1846 Tavern (only place open on Wednesdays). FYI- Most places (except 1846) need reservations. We will be back!!

All-Too-Brief Family Gathering

Our bi-coastal family converged on this lovely farmhouse in southern VT and enjoyed the amazing indoor and outdoor amenities. The swimming pond with paddle board, kayak and canoe were appreciated by the adventurous, while spacious deck, fire pit and hot tub were enjoyed by all. This was a perfect location for our family to just enjoy time together in a very relaxed setting with all the comforts of home!

Lovely house with private lake

The house was clean and comfortable. For $9grand a week it wasn’t as high end as I expected. The kitchen and equipment was a mish mash of eclectic stuff. But all in all good. The Swamill Restaurant was excellent! Some of the other guests didn’t understand the lake was private. But it didn’t spoil our stay.

Magical

We were a party of 11 celebrating my 40th birthday and each member felt transformed into a magical place. The Manor exceeded our expectations in all aspects. We highly recommend this place to anyone that appreciates beauty, tranquility and nature. The restaurant on the estate offered great cocktails, fresh delicious food and top notch hospitality. Perfect space for a large group

We had 3 families together for a ski trip, and the house was more than accommodating. Each couple had there own bedroom, the boys had the bunk room, and the two girls shared the 5th bedroom with the two single beds - perfect. The living space was clean, comfortable, and there was plenty of room for everyone to have there own space if needed. It really had everything from the kitchen, the fireplaces, garage, parking, room for ski gear, etc. It met all our expectations and would definitely go back.

Glad I Found this House for My Group

This is an amazing property with all the goods words I can think of to describe: Morden, clean, well-decorated, convenient... We arrived on Thanksgiving evening and enjoyed the weekend there. Mike is very responsible so as the staffs. The most popular spot for us is the sun room. We had a dinner at the on-site restaurant as well. Dishes are very delicious while the waiting time is a bit long comparing with the city. But we can understand that we have a party of 11. So still recommend to try!

3 families...1 glorious weekend!

Everything about our stay was fantastic from start to finish! Michael provided us with excellent communication leading up to and throughout our stay, truly making us feel 100% welcome at The Manor. Mornings spent watching the geese on the pond, traipsing through the trails and taking in the gorgeous fall foliage will be treasured forever. So many thoughtful details throughout the property, both indoor and out really made this the best weekend we’d all had in a very long time.

Stunning, well stocked property - one of a kind

I rented this property for my wife’s birthday and we had parents and three families stay together for the weekend. Everyone was raving about the house the entire time...it was great. There is enough space where everyone could choose where to spend time. Young kids played upstairs in a playroom, some folks watched TV, some were at the dining room table, others were out front at a fire pit while others played cards at a table underneath an open air gazebo that’s in the back of the house. It feels like home. So much so that we had made plans to come back by Saturday morning - having arrived Friday night. The bathrooms are generously stocked, the kitchen is great to make and serve meals in and the Sonos system keeps the house buzzing with great music. This is without question one of the most beautiful properties I’ve seen but it’s not just my opinion...we had two real estate pros in the group say the same thing. Owners were exceedingly organized, communicative and helpful. The photos we took will tell a story of our stay but the memories of this weekend - and this property - will last with each of us. We will be back!

Loved it!

Comfortable and clean is top of mind - we had a fabulous stay Christmas week.Best start was the detailed welcome email - so organized! The home itself has everything! The sun-room was a great place to relax and soak up the sun. The kitchen had all the necessary supplies and then some! The distance to Mount Snow (about 10 mins, max) was so convenient. And most importantly, the owner Mike, was very communicative. Few small hiccup issues arose honestly, but were addressed immediately by the property manager. Very helpful. (Only one real challenge we had was the Wifi actually - but then in a way it helped us all - in the quality time that was spent with together.) Highly recommend this property!
