„A warm welcome to a great little place Spacious room ,fantastic shower ,very comfortable bed Superb breakfast Highly recommended“

„Beautiful property, clean, tidy excellent location in a quiet small village. Plenty of room for our family of 5 and everything you need. Would definitely book again“

„The room was clean and the hotel has a good location somewhere in the nothing. The bar was nice. The breakfast was good but nothing special. Typical english breakfast.“

„A great place to stay with very helpful and pleasant staff.“

„Was a beautiful stay, the room was really clean, the property well maintained. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again or advise anyone to stay ☺️ thankyou!“

„Very friendly personnel, nice breakfast, good location with plenty of parking spaces available. “

„The staff and grounds were amazing. Loved the garden and the character of Gray’s Court. The bed and mattress in our room are in need of an upgrade as the mattress sagged a bit and the bed frame croaked with every motion.“

„Es ist ein sehr schönes Hotel, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, schöne Lage, es fehlt nur im Badezimmer eine Ablage für Kosmetikartikel und Haken für die Jacken im Zimmer wäre auch gut. “

„Property lovely, high standard interior. Staff on reception felt a little awkward as if on guard sat at a desk near the stairs but were always friendly. Access was a little difficult due to cars parked around the entrance to the car park. I guess to avoid the additional charge per night extra charge which we paid. Upon leaving our car was covered in tree sap but it will wash off. We stayed for 4 days and no one came into our room to empty our bins, replenish toiletries or restock the hot drink ...

„The staff and the flair was excellent. Sadly the coffee is not good. The selection for breakfast is great. “

„The personal is incredibly friendly !!❤️“

„Service and rooms are fantastic. Nevertheless the balcony was taken over by spider webs and actual spiders , so that a person like me, who is massively afraid of spiders could not use the balcony at all. Maybe they clean it during warmer season during the year. Feels kind of diasppointig as I booked the hotel because of the balcony rooms.“

„I enjoyed my stay! Room was clean, location is good and staff was friendly and professional!“

„This is my favourite place to stay. Clean rooms with everything you need for a short stay. The food is amazing and plenty of choice. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Highly recommend“

„Nice little cottage at a decent price, lovely owners. Bed was comfortable and it was useful having a kitchenette. Place had a few problems (such as the shower making the whole room wet and the extractor fan being broken) but was generally ok, but would have liked it to be cleaner (blood on headboard, hair on pillow, mould in shower, rather dusty in places, fridge could have been cleaner and tv handsets looked a biohazard!)“

„Keine eigenen Parkplätze/Baustelle, öffentliche Parkplätze teils schwierig“

„The hotel was amazing. The room and bathroom were very spacious (the biggest hotel room I have ever stayed in). The staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring York, with the city centre only a 10-minute walk away. The only downside I can think of is that the bath drain smelled a little funky, but I think that’s fairly normal for historic buildings, especially on the ground floor. We will definitely stay there again if we visit York in the future. Highly ...

„Simply a charming hotel in the heart of the city. We got a little lost at first because we didn't immediately figure out how to find the hotel. But once we found it, it turned out to be a fun experience. It's a charming old building. It has everything you need: a large room and a spacious bathroom. So it was just right for a few days in York.“
