The house was clean, the location great (very peaceful neighborhood, close to lots to do in Harwich), the kitchen was well stocked, had a nice yard, and all promised amenities were present. There were a few odd notes though which means I'd probably not stay here again - though the house seems partway through a renovation and these things might change. It looks like they added an interior porch, which is where the tv is, but the furniture is all outdoor wicker and uncomfortable. Adding that means that the other living room space (which DOES have comfortable furniture) is very, very dark (dark wood paneling, two small windows) - and most of the house was missing overhead lighting? And the existing lamps didn't cut it. A lot of the electrical sockets were taped over and some of the light switches didn't affect anything. So it was hard to gather or for multiple people to read at night. I had to use my phone's flashlight to find my clothes in the main bedroom (one tiny lamp), for instance, during the day! The door to the main bedroom was also of an odd material that made a terrible screech/bang in the night when going to use the restroom that woke everyone up. The other bedroom is the only space upstairs and has an odd slant that our teens repeatedly banged their head on.We still had a nice stay, but not sure we'd return unless the rates were a lot lower than houses without these issues. And some of them may resolve over time!
