« When we pulled up to Shady Rest we thought, "okay.." But when we got inside, we were blown away, because for the price of a hotel room we had an entire house! John, the owner, greeted us and we got to know each other a little bit He was friendly and made sure we lacked nothing. John even offered us plums and/or apples from his fruit trees. « Very nice, clean, comfortable property. We were there mid-August so the only drawback was no air conditioning. The fans offered relief, but it was a bit warm. Kitchen is roomy and well furnished (plates, cups, glasses, utensils, etc.). Living room is roomy and comfortable, fire place would be really nice in the winter. Comfortable beds and pillows. Close to town, but in a more private, quiet area. Overall very nice and was great for our family of four. »

« My husband and I stayed here in between our Yellowstone hiking trips and his elk hunting trip. This was the absolute perfect place for us to reset and regroup before he continued on with hunting and I flew home! Every tiny detail has been thought of and included. we had all the comforts of feeling like we were home. We are so thankful we found the carriage house. 10/10 recommend! »
