« I arrived on a Sunday and had sent a message several days before to say that I would like an evening meal. I went to the dining area at 8pm only to be told that the kitchen had closed for the evening so I was unable to get anything to eat that evening although I was offered crisps. On arrival I was told that the bar would be open until late so I assumed that I would be able to get a bar meal up until about 10pm. « staff dissapear from behind the bar (the place they use as reception, serve drinks and take food orders) for an age. After waiting five minutes without seeing a soul, I pushed open the door into the kitchen to request some assistance, if available. A waitress finally appeared and rudely shouted at me to get out of the kitchen. I tried to explain that no one had been present at the bar/reception for along time hence the need and she ignored me completely shouting again to get out of the kitchen....

« Great location for Saltburn & Whitby, lovely, quiet village. Sunday lunch was delicious, big portions, very good value for money. Would highly recommend. The room was clean & very comfortable with fantastic views. The bed was very comfy too. The staff were all very friendly and attentative. Will definitely visit again.
