« Returning to this historic hotel for a third visit was just as enjoyable as ever. Although my room was smaller this time, it was still beautifully maintained and very comfortable. I was especially grateful to be allowed an early check-in at no extra cost, which made my trip even more relaxing. The food remains outstanding, and the staff continue to provide a genuinely warm, friendly, and helpful service throughout. « We were sitting on the bench outside of our room and the lady who worked in the ticket collection place, driving a blue svu, almost parked her car on top of our laps. The staff should be more considerate. »

« Des gens charmants, bon lit, petit-déjeuner convenable, mais chambre gelante, pas de radiateur dans la salle de bain, peu de débit d'eau, pas d'espace pour les touristes au rez-de-chaussée hormis le matin lors du petit déjeuner. Dans un village près de Keswick, mais pas à Keswick. Dans ces conditions, assez cher. »

« Kettle in room was dirty brown yellowy in the bottom asked for it to be cleaned to be told it had been cleaned so was unable to make a brew in the room. Breakfast was ok although fried egg was not cooked properly very snotty. Boiled eggs uncooked today. The woman had bad attitude the way she spoke to guest blunt and rude. Would not stay here again. »

« The 3 course meal was al a carte status, excellent made by chef/ owner. Lovely bedrooms and v clean and owners very welcoming. Lovely views and walks nearby. For children the wildlife park is worth a visit nearby. »
