« This hotel is one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. Staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast had excellent variety and really nice. Room was large with a a separate sitting area. My husband didn’t like that the tv was in the sitting area so he couldn’t lie in bed and watch tv but I was really happy about that! Hot tub on our balcony was a delight. Cocktail bar was fab and was the pub and the food on offer. Loved our stay here »

« Spa facilities are superb, as was the hotel, only negative was the lunch included in spa day. This was very oily and below the standard expected. »

« This was a fantastic hotel. The room was lovely with a small balcony and lovely comfy double bed. The only thing i would say is paying an additional fee for spa access in a spa hotel isn’t the best although it was only £20 I think the access to the spa should be included. »

« Hotel très bien placé avec vue magnifique sur le lac mais un peu vieillot Petit dejeuner buffet avec pas mal de choix mais la qualité pourrait être améliorée (porridge préparé avec du lait plutôt que de l’eau par example) La douche était un cauchemar alternant eau bouillante et glacée sans qu’on touche au robinet et quand nous l’avons mentionné à l’accueil, aucune excuse, juste un “merci pour le feed-back” »

« Hillthwaite feels staying in a family home rather than a hotel and the warm welcome certainly matches. The room was spacious and bedding extremely comfortable, which was perfect for a mini break in the area. Extra points for the bathtub (in addition to a full shower)! Breakfast was excellent and the staff is lovely. »

« The person at the reception had a very inappropriate behaviour. The welcome was cold, to such a point that we did not stay in the hotel for the diner. Piscine (nice, good temperature), sauna (not warm enough - could not even sweat) Jaccuzzi (out of order). Wifi limited to Whathsapp and Facebok. TV poor quality (channels). Room quite big, good confort with 2 kids, a plus »
