„The staff courtesy was good“

„We had a rather mixed experience at Wenns Chop & Ale House. While the location was great and the restaurant offered some great options, the room left much to be desired. The disappointment began when we entered our room. What we have booked was advertised as a deluxe apartment on Hotels.com. The pictures on the platform had promised a spacious room with a comfortable sofa and an impressive bathtub in the middle of the room, along with a view of the minster. The listing even mentioned a city ...

„Wie immer ein schöner Aufenthalt. Keine Überraschungen. Solides altes englisches Hotel“

„Amazing little place, definitely worth the stop :) Room was comfy in a cozy little town“

„Pod was spotless and very well equipped with hob, fridge, freezer, microwave. Plenty of room for a family of 4 with a double bed and double sofa bed. „The staff were really friendly and the room was really well appointed and clean. The breakfast was good too. The only drawback with this property is that the rooms are upstairs in a SUPER busy pub. „Next to a very busy, noisy road. Cobwebs in bedroom and bathroom plus a long dark hair on my hand towel, which I wiped on my face. The staff were very nice and the food was good though. I wouldn’t return due to cleanliness and noise“

„Great views and great restaurant, lots of parking and scenic river views from room and restaurant“

„Schönes Zimmer. Nur 2 getrennte Wasserhähne für heiß und kalt ist schon strange. “

„Had a great stay here while working in the area. Already booked for next week.“

„De gemeenschappelijke keuken was vies. De kamers gehorig. De douche had alleen stand heet. Verder goed geholpen online.“

„Lovely appartement, confortable, well equipped, quiet. The location is great, within walking distance of absolutely everything.“

„Expedia confirmed my booking and took payment. Around two hours later, the host cancelled because of “an error with the calendar” — for a stay that was due the very next day. That alone was bad enough, but the refund process made it worse. It took two days and three phone calls to Expedia to chase a proper refund, after the first refund shown was only partial. So I was left with no accommodation, wasted time, unnecessary stress, and then had to fight to get back the money I should never have ...
