Winter in the Dells, minutes from the indoor waterparks. Come back to a quiet street about 10 minutes from downtown, where the kids can rack up scores on Pac-Man and Golden Tee downstairs while others settle into a movie upstairs. Two living areas, a TV in every bedroom and fast Wi-Fi give a family or small group room to spread out, and the back deck looks out over the creek and marsh. Sleeps 6, and up to 3 dogs are welcome.

THE HOME

Two levels connected by stairs give a family or small group room to spread out. The main level is bright and open, with the living room, kitchen and dining area flowing together and sliding doors out to the deck. The renovated lower level works as its own hangout, with two bedrooms, a full bathroom and the game room.

MAIN LEVEL

The living room has a sectional sofa and a Roku TV, with sliding doors to the deck.

The kitchen has full-size appliances, an electric range, a microwave and an island. It is stocked with cookware, dishes, baking sheets, a toaster, blender and rice maker, and guests often mention the well-stocked spice rack. A Keurig is ready each morning with a starter supply of K-cups. The dining table and bar stools seat the whole group. There is no dishwasher.

The primary bedroom has a queen bed, a TV and a wireless phone charger. A full bathroom is on this level.

LOWER LEVEL

The game room doubles as the second living area, with Pac-Man and Golden Tee arcade games, a sofa bed, a Roku TV, board games and books. On cold winter nights, it is where the kids end up while others settle into a movie upstairs.

The lower-level queen bedroom has its own TV. The twin bedroom has two single beds and a TV. It is a cozy room, best for kids or two adults traveling light. Both rooms have wireless phone chargers.

A second full bathroom is on this level. A desk with a lamp and the 300 Mbps Wi-Fi make a quiet spot to get work done. The stacked washer and dryer are here too, with detergent provided.

OUTDOORS

The deck has outdoor dining and a charcoal grill, partly sheltered by the roof overhang, with views over the creek and marsh. Guests often mention watching wildlife from the deck. The backyard has a garden area and a fire pit with four Adirondack chairs. Firewood is not included, so plan to bring your own.

Water levels behind the house change with the season and rainfall, so it can look like a full creek after a wet stretch or a quieter marsh in drier months. In winter, the deck is only partly sheltered and the fire pit is in the open, so how much you use them depends on the day and how much cold you enjoy.

DOGS AND FAMILIES

Up to 3 well-behaved, house-trained dogs are welcome for $50 per dog per stay. Waste bags and a water bowl are provided. For little ones, a crib, travel crib and high chair are available.

ACCESS AND PARKING

The entire home is yours, including both levels, the deck, backyard and fire pit. The outdoor storage sheds are locked and not for guest use.

Check-in is self check-in with a keypad smart lock, and your code is sent before arrival. Parking is in the driveway only, up to 3 vehicles, since the city does not allow street parking.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

The home is on a quiet residential street just outside the busy part of Wisconsin Dells, with a creek and marsh behind it. Guests often mention how peaceful it is, and how quickly they can get back into town.

Downtown Wisconsin Dells is about 10 minutes away by car, where Broadway has restaurants, shops, boat tours and mini golf, and the Riverwalk follows the Wisconsin River. Most of the waterpark resorts are 15 to 20 minutes away, including the indoor waterparks that stay open all year. In winter, skiing at Christmas Mountain Village is a short drive away. A car is needed to get around.

GOOD TO KNOW

Stairs: The home has two levels connected by stairs, with bedrooms on both floors. Guests with limited mobility should plan for stairs.

Heating and cooling: One heating and cooling system serves both levels and is controlled from the main level, so the two floors can feel slightly different in temperature. Ceiling and portable fans are available on both floors.

TVs: The TVs are Roku smart TVs. Sign in to your own streaming accounts. Logins are cleared after every stay.

Cameras and monitoring: Exterior security cameras face the driveway, the front door and the backyard. There are no cameras inside the home. Minut noise and occupancy sensors are on the main level and the lower level. They measure sound levels and occupancy only and do not record audio.

Well and septic: The home is on a private well and septic system. The well water is safe to drink, and only toilet paper can be flushed.

Winter: The deck is only partly sheltered by the roof overhang and the fire pit is in the open, so winter use depends on the weather. The driveway is plowed, but local streets can get slick.
