„We were looking for somewhere central to everyone, and we stumbled on this gem. While we didn't do much in the area, there are a few things that would be fun with a group during the tourist season (winery, lakes). The house is very private, and we enjoyed sitting in the sun room with the windows open for the breeze. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. The house was a lovely mix of updated but keeping the farmhouse feel. Overall lovely stay!“

„It’s hard to decide where to begin. Everything was absolutely immaculate. The barn is so well appointed and welcoming when you walk in. Everything was available inside the barn for making meals. „What a delight! Janis is a wonderful host, met us at the property and showed us all around. The location is ideal - minutes from the Kickapoo Reserve, and down the road from Viroqua. „Super cute farmhouse! Britt did an amazing job updating the original home. There are a few things that still need to be fixed, but overall it had all the comforts of home. All three kids had amazing bedrooms and no fighting over the "best" room! Yay! It is a little way out into the country, but not far from stores and restaurants. We hope to be back next year!“

„Great place, a lot of room and an excellent view for fall leaves changing colors. My family loved the burn pit in the back yard and could NOT get over how beautiful and clear the night skies were. There are trails that my family took nearby and were in awe all the natural beauty. Cost is well the stay!“

„This was our fourth stay at the Akey House. It is a fine place for a family gathering; we had five adults and two dogs. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching deer, listening to birds and coyotes, reading and just relaxing. The house is ideal location for those who wish to canoe, hike, and bicycle. It is modern (kitchen is great) yet retains that old-time feel in the dining room, porch, parlor and bedrooms. Very comfortable for large or small gatherings.“

"Ein super Hotel für einen kurzen Trip. Das Hotel war sehr sauber, das Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer war auch sauber und hatte alles was wir bräuchten. Auch ein Babybett war verfügbar obwohl es bei der Hotelbeschreibung als "nicht verfügbar" angezeigt wurde. Also wirklich top! Nicht so gut gefallen hat uns die Frühstücksmöglichkeit. Hier gab es nur das Cafe in der Lobby, das leider nur eine sehr begrenzte Auswahl hatte. Außerdem wurde dort alles in einmal Verpackung serviert, so dass bei einem Frühstück zu zweit mit Kaffee und Croissant extrem viel Müll angefallen ist. Das ist aus meiner Sicht für ein nachhaltiges Hotel leider nicht sehr glaubwürdig. "
