„The lodge is a wonderful place to get away to birch trees and smell off clean pine air. Our lake view was amazing. The leaves were just beginning to show the onset of fall with few hues of red and orange. We took many walks around the property enjoying the woods and lake. The resort was quiet but people hanging out at the beach or fisherman taking their boats early in the morning. The pool and spa were used a few times. It should open early. „The location we had originally booked canceled our reservation due to selling property and issues with plumbing. Upon searching for something close we stumbled across this amazing property. Granted its not on the water like the place we originally had, but this location slept more people, was large, had 2 bathrooms, a cleaning room for fish, a huge kitchen, was decorated very nicely with outdoor theme, and the owners were very accommodating, easy to work with and fast to respond. „Spent four days in Minocqua at the Knotty Barrel Lodge. I have been spending summers in Minocqua for 30 years, there is nothing like this place. Perfect location, walking distance to town, easy for boat rental. There is a great supper club downstairs with a friendly staff (btw: noise from the restaurant is not an issue at all)The property is clean and so unique.
