« A lovely cottage in a great location. The cottage has everything you need and the bedrooms are a good size too. There are several uneven, steep steps walking up to the cottage so I wouldn’t recommend it to people who are unsteady on their feet. The owners left some biscuits and milk on the fridge which was a nice gesture. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future when visiting Whitby. »

« This is a cosy cottage in a lovely quiet location. There is a private courtyard with outdoor seating where we enjoyed sitting in the sunshine after a walk to the beach. The owner kindly provided us with information on walks, grocery shops, places to eat etc. I would definitely recommend going to this cottage. »

« We loved this property. The owners obviously have an eye for decor as it is a really stylish place and beautifully finished. We loved how peaceful the property was and the owners had thought of everything . We really appreciated the tea, coffee and milk after a 5 hour drive and the muffins, biscuits and crisps were a lovely touch. All the information you needed was in a folder and we visited lots of the places recommenced in it. It’s a fantastic property and we hope to stay there again. »

« We had a fabulous stay at this property. It was a really comfortable and well designed house. There was plenty of room while still remaining cozy. We cooked five nights out of seven and had everything we needed (apart from.may be a large serving spoon- we could only find a ladle).Beds were lovely and having a really nice en-suite in each bedroom was brilliant.It was also lovely to have a comfy sofa which was big enough for everyone to sit on easily for a bit of relaxation and some TV at the...

« We had a lovely stay at The Old Barn, it’s well equipped, quiet and dog friendly. The parking worked well, we have a 4x4 and a tow bar mounted bike rack. We also appreciated having a secure shed for our bikes. The neighbours are friendly and made us feel welcome, we are planning to return to the cottage to explore the area further. My only comment is about recycling as we couldn’t find a recycling bin. But we did locate and use the local recycling facility, which is at The Reeth Dales Centre. »
