Wonderfvul digs. Evrything was perfect. As described. Everything was labeled , in place and clean. Comfortable furniture and one of the best organized and equipped kitchens I have seen. The only thing i would add would be a shower mat to the shower downstairs - a littler slippery there.While a ways from the valley floor. cooler at this location.

Beautiful mountain home

We loved this beautiful super clean home. We especially appreciated the easy access from the parking to the door, and the downstairs bedroom and bathroom. The owners take pride in their home and it had what looked like new carpet, which was very nice. It was completely equipped with everything you could possibly want from a coffee maker to a crockpot, and there were labels on everything to help you navigate. The location was quiet, with a charming balcony amid the trees. Access to the valley took 30 minutes.The only reason for the 4 stars is that the beds are not comfortable. They are hard and lumpy. I don’t think I’m being overly picky here, since last Summer I toured Scandinavia, sleeping in a variety of moderately priced hotels and private homes, and had no complaints about the beds. This is an easy fix which will bring the bedding up to the high standards of the rest of the home. Other than that we had a great time.

Perfect first time!

Holy is amazing at communicating and made the check in process easy. The house is beautiful and clean! We were sad we were only there to spend one night but we are so happy we got to explore Yosemite and looking forward to staying there in the future!

Great Cozy home with everything you need

The home and hosts were excellent. The area was quiet and offers a great view of the trees and surrounding nature. The best part of the home was the parking right at the front door, with no stairs. This was vitally important as we visited in Winter and there was snow on the ground. The inside of the home was great with a gas fireplace and a nice balcony. the house was spacious with a kitchen which was well stocked with pots and pans, which is not a guarantee in some rentals. I honestly cannot think of anything we required that this house did not have. I would highly recommend this home if you plan on visiting Yosemite. I will stay here if available during my next trip to Yosemite.

A Royal Stay for Your Yosemite Stay

We loved staying at Royal Retreat! The unit was very clean and everything was as pictured and described. Very comfortable and spacious for our family of four. We enjoyed spending time playing their multiple board games, watching movies, cozying up by the fireplace . The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you might need from your basics to a griddle, crock pot and baking sheets. My husband enjoyed cooking a couple of meals on the grill. The views from both downstairs and upstairs are spectacular, all the windows make the unit bright and very scenic.The location is perfect for an every day drive to the Valley or to explore the South side of Yosemite.I was concerned with privacy do the unit below, but in our five night stay we never heard or encountered the guests staying there, all we noticed was their car parked in their designated spot away from Royal retreat. We cannot wait ro come back and stay at Royal Retreat!

Immaculate home in an ideal location

We just spent 4 days at the Royal Retreat. The entire experience was simply perfect. This was one of the nicest rental homes we have ever stayed in. On top of that, Holly & Jeff were the most gracious hosts. The home was in pristine condition and they anticipated our every need. The kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms were all fully stocked with essentials AND extras. Everything was clearly labeled which eliminated any guess work. The beds were also incredibly comfortable. Lastly, the location in Yosemite West was absolutely perfect. We were as close as you could get to Glacier Point Road and Tunnel View,, and only a short drive to Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove. That decreased our time in the car which was fantastic. I would not hesitate to recommend the Royal Retreat to anyone visiting Yosemite National Park.

Mountain Retreat

Wonderful property!

This is a beautiful and clean home. Pictures and listing are spot on. Lots of care and thought have gone into ensuring that all the conveniences are available and that everything is well labelled and accessible. Communication with the hosts is very fast and helpful. Beaitiful, clean cabin in a good location.

The home was clean and detail oriented. It is evident that the property owners take great pride in their home. It was nice to stay in the park and not have to worry about going in and out in the long line at the gate. We didnt realize how big the park is and how spread out everything would be. We took beautiful drives around the park to our destinations. Checking in and out was easy. We had a great stay!

Amazing stay

Beautiful well kept clean house. House is spacious great kitchen with everything you need. Beds comfortable and all supplies you need. The house has everything covered you would need down to the little things like chargers by every bed, insulated cups you can take with you when traveling into the park and much more. So nice being in the park and not have to go through the entrance everyday. I would come back again. The owners check in via email to make sure you don’t have any questions. Great place in Yosemite West.

Wonderful Yosemite Experience

This was a wonderful way to experience Yosemite inside the gates. The house was comfortbale, clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The hosts gave detailed information necessary to make the stay flawless. Enjoyed the quiet neighboorhood and having morning coffee on the deck with amazing views. The location made getting around to all the sites in Yosemite easy.

Amazing family memories!

We had the best time at Royal Retreat - it’s a well appointed, clean, comfortable stay inside the park. It was a game changer being inside the park gates and starting each day with that advantage. Everything is clearly labeled and easy to find/use and the homeowners are so responsive and kind! We loved our time here with this as a home base and had everything we needed and more. The mud room was an extra bonus to house the shoes and hiking equipment as was the grade level entry so we didn’t haul luggage up and down flights of stairs. We can’t wait to come back and stay here one day, and continue our memories in this beautiful location!

Exceeded our expectations.

This is an excellent place to stay while visiting Yosemite. I have stayed multiple times in the valley floor and Yosemite west. We prefer Yosemite west because of having a nice house to sprawl out in and to cook a nice meal after a long day of hiking. The home was very clean and organized with extra supplies so we never ran out of anything. Would definitely stay here again.
