« It was so joyful being with another couple and our dogs so close to the beach and services. The power went out and the host immediately showed up to make sure we had matches for candles, he said ‘it’ll likely comeback on shortly’. Lit candles were almost Immediately extinguished when the power returned. Crystal clear plunge pool. 5 gallons of water, amazing upper deck off master….much much more in a cozy space by the ocean. « Wonderful home. The breeze through over the pool was wonderful. The no-see-ums were irritating but the breezeway kept them mostly away. We had 12 adults, and the bedrooms are set up nicely as individual master suites. The lagoon has very good snorkeling. Clouds of minnows, some coral fish, barracuda, turtle and 2 small sharks were seen. Snorkel under the overhangs at low tide and at high tide check out the mangroves. « This is a magical place. Most incredible sunsets, lovely great room. Interesting artwork. Unusual building layout. Stunning property with easy access to the most beautiful water full of vibrant sea life that we lost ourselves in for hours. Brenda and Tom are very nice and helpful. They offered lots of excellent suggestions. The only negative is that the property needs TLC, but the hosts are definitely working on improvements. « We have stayed at a few different house on the island and this was far and a way the best. You are right on an incredible sand beach and the pool looks over it. The house itself is very well kept and comfortable. We ran into a bit of an “island snafu” and both the owner and property manager were very concerned and helpful. The only comment that I might make is the title of the listing uses the word private. You definitely have neighbors, but your lot is large enough. We will be back! »

« Stayed at the Sungate property with another family of 4. This was our first visit to Eleuthera and the other family we traveled with visits annually. Our host, Marco, was very responsive before the trip when we reached out with questions and was also very responsive and helpful during our trip. He was a thoughtful host, dropping off fresh, local fruit for us to try and extra coffee. The property was clean and spacious. « The view at this place is amazing! We spent most of our time on the deck enjoying the view and the sunsets every night. The kitchen was nicely outfitted; I really appreciated having an electric teakettle and a nice set of glass storage containers, which were so convenient. I second what others have said about bringing your own paper towels, extra toilet paper, etc. but would add dish detergent and facial tissue to the list. The host was great about answering questions - prompt and very helpful....
