« There is a lower parking lot and they take you up in a kawasaki mule. My wife's RAV4 AWD would have had trouble with that road. Hosts are johnny on the spot and the cabin was seclusion heaven. Just the right mix of outback charm but with all the modern amenities. I will be making this an annual stop for sure. »

« The pictures are a little out dated, expected to be the only place on the property but there was campers on the same property. Still very relaxing with beautiful views but if you want privacy with noone around this isn't the place. The people near by are friendly and keep to themselves tho. Host was great with communication and answering questions we had throughout our visit. The view at night time and seeing all the stars while sitting by the fire was perfect for us. « We had a great stay. House is old with wavy floors that creak and moan but we loved that. The first floor only has 1 bedroom and the stairs are very steep and slippery so be careful going up and down. Good thing we only went up to go to bed then the rest of our time was on the back deck or by the river. The boys loved running up and down the river trying to hook another big one. Too bad it was too cold to throw our inner tubes in and drift down stream. We would stay again. »

« Not too far from the lake, a bit of a trek to the New River Gorge. The place was very clean with most of what you’d need. Communication was excellent. A/C worked very well! »

« Cabin was clean and cozy. It’s off the beaten path for sure, so it’s also very private. The host provided some snacks, which were very appreciated because we were late getting in the first night. We loved the large shower. It is a little out of the way and during our visit it rained a lot so I’m glad we drove a 4x4 just to make turning around at the cabin a little better. »

« Loved our stay here. The house was exactly as described, well stocked and clean for our arrival. Loved that it was private, surrounded by woods with a beautiful deck surrounding the house. It was pet friendly and our pups really enjoyed their stay as well. Very convenient to have a full kitchen to do some cooking during our trip. Conveniently located and close to towns. It was easy to get to stores and restaurants. Would recommend a stay here! »
