„Das Hotel ist nicht mehr das Allerneuste, aber gut in Stand gehalten. Das Zimmer war hervorragend eingerichtet, die Betten waren sehr bequem. Der einzige Mangel war, dass es im Zimmer etwas muffig roch und das Fenster nicht geöffnet werden konnte. Lawton ist keine typische Touristendestination, aber im Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge sieht man freilebende Longhorn-Rinder, Bisons und Präriehunde. „We could certainly tell the owners take great pride in their property by the way the cabin is furnished and being extremely clean. Our only issue was the unexpected close neighbor who used loud fowl language at his dog that was chained up close by. Was a bit uncomfortable sitting on the porch with a person living within 10 feet of the cabin in a small trailer that btw blocked the view of Mt. Scott.
