« Incredible place to stay. A remote and unspoilt location where your only company is monkeys seeing if through the trees all around you. Pool is incredible and villa interiors are sublime, though quite minimalist and thus not suitable for everyone. Staff are wonderful. Manager will bring very delicious rice and curry if you don’t want to cook for a fixed price per head which, given the restaurant prices in ahangama are v reasonable. « The hotel is certainly not up to the standard of a 5 star as well as the price they charge. Our room was supper dirty and we had to ask for a change. The next room was acceptable but still very dirty. The rooms look run down and not well maintained. We did the Tepaniaki experience and were charge 130 € which is a LOT in Sri Lanka and it was no where near a real Tepaniaky experience. I recommend you avoid it! Do not take a Tintin from any of the staff they are in on it with the one parked across...

« The ocean view was very nice. Our room was one of the best and very large, it accommodated 4 people. Everything was very nice we arrived in the low season yet we enjoyed our time. The staff were splendid. We ate all our meals at the hotel restaurant because it tasted so good and the staff were so helpful and friendly. »

« The villa was in a fabulous location right on a beach with clean, golden sand. The villa’s bedrooms were spacious, clean and each had its own on suite. Our extended family of 14 enjoyed the deck near the large swimming pool and also the deck chairs near the water. The staff looked after us like royalty and the chef and kitchen staff cooked us some delicious food. All in all we had an amazing week at South Point Villa and I thoroughly recommend it as an excellent place to stay. »

« Amazing hotel. Great staff, very boutique feeling with amazing decoration (balinese style). We stayed with our 3 children (9,7,2) in a family room, room 206, and the hotel felt perfect for kids. The pool has a shallow area, the beach area is safe and the hotel lended us some bodyboards for our older kids to play with in the sea. Note that the bedroom balcony doors do not close 100% by design so you will heqr the waves at all time (which we liked to go to sleep) but it may not be for everybody....
