„Last minute overnight stay to visit extended family brought us to this charming farmhouse. The layout is very unique, but expected since it is a restored farmhouse. Beds were comfy. Kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. Only downside with 5 people is there is one bathroom. It would be super cute if at some point the owner built an "outhouse" style building nearby (so as to not disturb the original structure) with a 2nd toilet and sink. Would definitely rent again.“

„Two families combined with 3 adults and 2 teens had a comfortable 3-night stay. Didn't try the sleeper sofa. Brought an air mattress instead. It's an old structure; naturally some features aren't up to modern code - mostly the staircase and overhead clearance on the staircase. „We had an amazing week at Backroads and Barrels! The house is centrally located, which is one reason we loved it so much. We did daily excursions to different parts of the state (ie Louisville, Lexington, Mammoth Cave, Red River Gorge, Versailles, etc). The house itself was everything we could’ve hoped!
