„This is one of the old roadside-motels that you either love - or don't. It cannot be compared to modern multi-storey chain-motels, however it offers a fridge, a microwave, cable TV and a small desk as well as good firm beds. You might miss "nice" furniture, a duvet on the bed, a spacious bathroom, an easychair or breakfast - but on the other hand you pay only about 50$. „We spent the weekend at Mammoth Caves (about 25-30 mins away) and this was the perfect spot for us to spend our nights. The host made check-in and check-out a breeze and everything we needed to be comfortable was there.One thing differs from the pictures is they have now installed a full sized stove/oven to replace the hotplate and toaster oven. „Had a wonderful stay. Clean, cozy, quiet, comfortable. Great firepit area too! Since we were busy during the day, we were tired and did not utilize the fire pit like we wanted to. Great location to everything in the area. We would stay here again.“

„This is a a great little landing spot after sight-seeing during the day. It’s close to Mammoth Cave, has a great little cave to explore right across the street, and is less than 2 hours from Nashville. The apartment is super clean, fun, and perfectly sized/laid out for a family of 4. Our kids loved the music theme! Jay was also super responsive and a great host! “

„We had a great stay, the shack on shortcut is a very cute and cozy place. This is on the owners property and a working farm. Neither bothered us but just a heads up. I also did not realize from the photos that the living area and recreation area are separate rooms which was nice. The bathroom is in the rec room with a step up into it. „Our stay was amazing! Crystal was super responsive at any time! The animals loved the attention! Waking up at 7 in the morning to the horses pretty much at the back door waiting for you was awesome! Duke and Sally the dogs were so sweet and hung out with us whenever we were there. We will definitely return with our kids. This was our anniversary/husbands birthday stay! I will also recommend this to any of my family and friends who are coming to cave city as well! “

„Quaint rustic cabin setting was very comfortable for my family. We gathered from two other states and met with family from Edmonton to enjoy Thanksgiving. The cabin was the perfect size for us to gather and cook a large meal. We enjoyed our stay!!“

„We actually stayed in a different vrbo by this owner because the original house need unforeseen repairs just weeks before our arrival. The owner was great to accommodate. The house we stayed at is old (typical in the area) but it was clean and didn't smell old at all. Typically in old houses it can be dusty and the linens have an odd smell but not this house. We could tell the owner took care of the place.“

„Property is exactly as described - charming little place with an exquisitely comfy bed, a small shower stall in the bathroom, and a little kitchenette. We didn’t spend a lot of time there since we were in town specifically for a festival at Barren River Magic, but it suited our needs perfectly. „This home and property were very peaceful. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have had as far as cooking accessories, dishes and utensils are concerned. The porch swing took me back to sitting on my grandparent's swing. Now I'm the one watching the kids play. „This home was finished in 1903 and is amazing to see. It is being slowly refurbished and will truly be lovely when all is done. Our room was great and the bed was so comfortable. The bathroom as large and had the latest in shower heads. Breakfast was nice and you have area outside to sit in the evening if you like.“
