« We loved our brief stay at the Queen’s. My husband had been taken ill on arrival in Lerwick and we had to change our plans to let him rest up. We booked last minute and were surprised to be able to still choose a twin room with sea view. The sea literally lapped outside our window and the view was stunning. The hotel has a fascinating history and is built actually into the sea so those who complained of damp should have gone some where else. The shower was great with loads of instant hot water...

« Comfortable and convenient place to stay in a quiet area of downtown Lerwick. I did not have a car and could walk to local bus, restaurants, shops, groceries. I was very happy with my two-week stay and would stay there again. James and Mandy were excellent hosts. »

« We have stayed at the Kveldsro for a week plus on two occasions, and really enjoyed ourselves each time. The hotel is not a new building, but as a result is full of character. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms fairly recently updated. The dining room and many of the bedrooms have a wonderful view over the Lerwick harbour. « Spacious, clean and well appointed. Fabulous view over the harbour. A welcoming and helpful host added to our wonderful stay. Recommend without hesitation. Easy street parking. As the name suggests, a penthouse apartment requires some steps to climb. Great location with co-op supermarket near by and an easy 5 min walk into main street. »

« Beautiful views of crofts and the sea. The room was quiet and comfortable. The bed especially comfortable with cotton sheets and cushy duvet. Teas and coffee were available. Breakfast absolutely delicious with the host preparing any level of breakfast need. »

« The property is immaculate and beautiful, very comfortable with fabulous views. Location is great for exploring by car or on foot. Niki and Piet are really excellent hosts, very accommodating and great to talk to. The sauna and hot tub are fabulous too. We had such an enjoyable holiday, some highlights included getting married in Lerwick, a boat trip to Mousa and visiting the broch, exploring the Jarlshof site and walking across to St Ninians and walking around the island. 10/10! »
