Dryburgh Abbey

It's a nice place less popular than Melrose Abbey but also very beautiful. I didn't have perfect conditions but I did my best to give some idea about this place. You need to buy a ticket to get inside and there is no access early in the morning or late evening.

A beautiful location to walk about, and at only 6 pounds entry fee totally worth it. They have a pricy hotel on the grounds should you want to stay in the area and see the Abbey, hike about a bit and see the surrounding countryside and towns.
Dryburgh Abbey, perhaps the most beautiful of all the Scottish border abbeys built on the banks of the river Tweed and home to the graves of one of Scotland's most influential romantic writers Sir Walter Scott, and Field Marshal Douglas Haig, Commander-in-Chief of the British forces in France for much of WWI.

Due to delayed airplane it wasn't possible to reach the Hotel on time. A Transfer Point for the key was easily agreed and the staff was very helpful on that. The breakfast was great, I slept very well and the room was fully equipped.

Die Unterkunft ist zentral und war für uns sehr gut zu erreichen, sehr sauber und wir hatten alles, was wir für einen schönen Urlaub benötigten. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr unkompliziert und er sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

It's a beautiful place in Scotland. Picture was taken in the middle of the day but clods were nice, no harsh light and remember that this is ticketed area and there is no access at summer golden hours. Worth visiting, you can also capture some architecture details there.
