« Very clean and warm room on my late arrival. Very quiet too! »

« Perfect for me and the puppy as I was able to park car/kennel right outside in the quiet car park. Secluded spot just away from the main high street. Lovely friendly pub, great food, no fuss! Accommodation basic (perfect for me and dog) but clean, all facilities worked well. The only thing I missed was a comfy chair to sit and read... but the bed sufficed (very comfy btw). Would definitely go back. »

« Great little hotel with heaps of charm, overlooking the sea. The family room was excellent with 2 bedrooms. Lovely decor and renovated bathroom. Lovely windows with nice view. Good value for money breakfast in the morning which was made to order. »

« Loved it. Room was adequate (once you’ve got used to all the creaks and bumps). This is a 16th century building in all its glory. Food was plentiful, well cooked and hot. Although our room over looked an island there was no problem with road noise. There was plenty of parking front and rear. Cannot sing it’s praises enough, in fact we’ll be going back just as soon as we can. Loved it! »

« We had an absolutely lovely weekend staying at The Royal Oak. The location was perfect for a relaxing weekend away. The scenery was breathtaking and we had a lovely view from our room. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. This is a traditional pub, very cosy and again nicely decorated but retaining its traditional charm. The landlord and landlady were extremely helpful. Above all, this is dog friendly accommodation, a must for us. We would definitely stay here again. »

« Good acomodation booked in with the new property owner Kurt, we were the second transaction made on his hotel account, chap by the bar beat us to no 1 position by a matter of minutes, Kurt had recently bought the Castle Hotel friday the 1st of September was his first day so basically hit the road running! He explained theres going to be big changes / improvements over the coming months so watch the space, as a New Zealander the bar area is going to be a sport bar area with some great rugby...

« The apartment is smart, clean and tastefully decorated. Everything is modern and in excellent condition. Cental to all the shops and cafes. We got a parking space right outside. It was a little noisey, but it was freshers week, so maybe the students were enjoying themselves at the pub a little way down the street. »
