« This fantastic B&B looks like a mansion, its interior is beautifully decorated and the rooms have a standard high above most B&Bs. Beds and bedsheet, bathrooms, breakfast – they are all characterized by great taste and the hostess is very sympathetic and service minded. During our travel around in England, Scotland and Wales for three weeks in September 2019 we stayed at 13 different B&Bs and hotels – Plas Y Dderwen was definitely the best B&B of them all. »

« Our room was very characterful with lovely old floorboards and nice padded chairs. Super king sized bed (very comfortable). Nice selection of drinks with specialised fruit teas and hot chocolate provided in the room. Overall the accommodation is very spacious and full of period charm. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The Hotel is well placed for days out to Powis Castle, lake Vyrnwy, Barmouth and many local RSPB reserves. I recommend the vegan curry. »

« This is a GEM of a B&B! It’s tucked away in the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountains, and is an absolute slice of heaven. The mansion is truly beautiful, and has been renovated with an eye for design and careful respect of its past. The antique furnishings were so perfectly chosen for each room, and the bathrooms were modern and classy. « This chalet is just perfect, everything about the stay I could't fault. As it is the only chalet on the property you get complete privacy and your own field for activities with a lovely pond to walk around too. The lack of wifi is actually amazing and feels like a real getaway. The hot tub and firepit kept us entertained all evening anyway! « The apartment is smart, clean and tastefully decorated. Everything is modern and in excellent condition. Cental to all the shops and cafes. We got a parking space right outside. It was a little noisey, but it was freshers week, so maybe the students were enjoying themselves at the pub a little way down the street. »
