We stayed in Port Watch in February, 2026.
The location of the property is good and surroundings are beautiful with views of the harbour.
However, as other review mentioned it's hard to find it, especially when it's getting dark. The owner should provide a better description how to get there and mention steep hidden unsealed driveway. Google maps did not help at all.
When we finally got in, there was a strong mouldy smell throughout, it was also hot inside. We tried to open windows to get fresh air, but as there were no fly nets on windows, all the forest insects thought they were welcome to the house!! So, we had to close windows, and the night was very unpleasant.
In general, we thought that the house felt like run down place that could be made a beautiful place to stay.
The kitchen was equipped poorly, old pans, not enough plates for 5 people, beds of mixed comfort. Bathrooms were updated though.
