« The house was perfect for our family of 5. Very well maintained and plenty of room kids and adults alike. All the amenities are in good condition and there’s everything you need for a lovely stay. The location was perfect. A stunning view over the valley, lots of sun and just a short walk into Akaroa. I had a couple of queries of my own making and Dave was super helpful and really responsive…an excellent host. »

« We had the most fantastic stay and the listing (although still beautiful) doesnt capture quite how amazing this home is. We have stayed in over 40 holiday rentals and this is by far our favourite. « A great get-away place to stay. Wonderful house and gardens to sit back and relax in. Perfect spot to go for walks and wander to the beaches. Supermarket, fish and chip shop and bar within a 5 minute walk which is all bases covered. Great host with great communication. Would recommend to others needed a relaxing break. »

« Frances was more accommodating than any host we’ve encountered in any country. She met us upon arrival, explained a few things, made two restaurant reservations for us, changed one on the day of, provided directions, rebooted internet immediately, and left cream for our coffee. She even had fresh flowers throughout the house. Her place is a perfect location to sit and watch all the port and harbor activity, walk to several restaurants and cafes, but easy to take tunnel into Christchurch....

« Lovely comfortable home for extended family stay. Once firewood was sorted (thankyou) fire was great for heating whole house. Spectacular views from main bedroom and lounge plus decks. Very close to Akaroa. Unfortunately didnt get email re checking in arrangements but sorted quickly once we got someone on the phone! »

« I don’t generally like to write negative reviews but after reading all the 5 stars review in felt I should share my experience. We had room 62. The view was nice the room was like in the picture. But the state of the room was terrible, the carpet was full of holes and stain the space between the bed and the wall was about 6 inches you have to crawl sideways. There was a dirty rag left on the bathroom floor but the cleaning people. For 300$ NZD for the night we were not expecting a 5 star...
