This property was absolutely wonderful and the perfect spot for our family’s Christmas gathering! The home was spotless upon arrival, with a beautifully equipped kitchen that made preparing our full Christmas dinner—complete with turkey, stuffing, and all the trimmings—an absolute joy. The spacious dining room comfortably seated all 10 of us, creating the ideal setting for memorable holiday meals together.The outdoor amenities took our stay to the next level: evenings gathered around the fire pit, grilling on the full-sized gas BBQ, and endless fun on the on-site mini golf course. Our amazing host went above and beyond by providing saucers and wax for sledding at White Sands—no need to rent anything!The game room was a huge hit, especially the classic PAC-Man arcade machine that kept my husband entertained for hours. This rental was the ideal home base for exploring the region’s highlights: Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, the stunning White Sands National Park, and the quirky fun of Pistachioland.Extra Thank you to the host for providing Christmas decorations to make our holiday perfect! We couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas getaway—highly recommend!

This is one of the best properties that we have rented. Emmanuel the host was super responsive. The house is centally located with tons of ammenities near buy. The pool was the perfect escape from the heat. The house was perfect! 5 stars!

Desert Oasis

The house was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The kids barely left the pool, and when they did it was just to play foosball. Everybody loved hanging out on the top floor balcony, gazing at the stunning mountains and observing the neighborhood below.

Very comfortable stay

We really enjoyed staying at Monarco. We used the pool everyday. There was plenty of space. It was nice to have a washer and dryer and small kitchen appliances, like a toaster and blender. We found some saucer sleds and wax for White Sands right before we headed out. The host was responsive to our one need during our stay. My 8 year old daughter wanted to stay forever. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to the area.

This is a beautiful home and our family had a wonderful stay. Everything is as it seems in the listing. It is an old house, so it has it's quirks. But the home was very comfortable for all 12 of us. The only feedback I would give is that guests do like to have the option of TV at night before sleep. TVs are so affordable these days, having a TV in a few of the rooms would be a nice ammentiy. And perhaps lounge chairs outside to sun bathe. Otherwise the house is perfect to host large families for their stay. Thank you!

BEST VRBO WE’VE EVER STAYED IN!!

Pictures don’t do this property justice! So much space to spread out both inside and outside with every amenity you could possibly want and so much more. Walking distance to an excellent grocery store and just a short drive to local bars, restaurants, and attractions. Host was super responsive!

What a beautiful home my family and I had the pleasure of staying in. Very clean, great amenities (game room, bonfire, and swimming pool - weather was cold but definitely would book in the summer) Emmanuel was very attentive and wanted to ensure our stay was comfortable and overall it was. Thanksgiving

Loved the charm and character of this house! Two staircases added extra fun. Everyone arrived at different times and we had no problems getting settled in. The sun room was a favorite room to go to for some quiet time. The kids loved going to the game room in the back. We never got around to using the fire pit but I’m sure it would have been so fun and relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked with spices. Not sure if the hosts went out of their way for that since I mentioned that we were meeting up for Thanksgiving dinner. Any problems we had, the owner was quick to respond. The location was so convenient to the quaint downtown area and Lowe’s grocery store. All within a two to three block walk. There were plenty of games to keep the kids engaged inside the house, too. Maybe some plastic bowls for kids to use but not a big problem. Cleaning supplies, laundry tablets, trash bags and toilet paper were well stocked. I would definitely recommend this house. I’m thinking it would be an awesome place to stay in the summer to get more use of the outdoor space, including the pool.

Great house for family fun

The kitchen was well stocked, and the board games, air hockey, ping pong, pool, and other fun items from the listing were all as advertised. We especially enjoyed the pool, fire pit, and large TV where we watched movies together after a day out exploring. The house is < 30 minutes from White Sands national park, Lincoln National Forest, and the Cloudcroft ski resort, so while Alamagordo itself isn't a great tourist spot and the neighborhood the house is in isn't very nice, it is very well located for day trips, you get a lot of space for the money, and we never felt unsafe.

Family vacation

The house was beautiful, clean, well stocked with a variety of fun things to do inside and out pf the home. Spent great nights out in the pool and finished up with ping-pong games. Rooms were super spacious and beds very comfortable. Would love to stay there again.
