The website pictures are not updated. They must be from years ago because it is not as "nice" as it looks. Both houses need a serious deep clean! I clean residential & businesses & these homes are sub par. Thick cobwebs in the B house by the kitchen. Maintenance is needed to up date & fix shelves, kitchen counters etc to just look decent. The houses were not cleaned! The room I stayed in was not even swept! There was evidence of the last group that stayed. In the main house, the bathroim had serious mold in the corner grout above the shower. The corner cabinet on top has notbeen dusted in awhile. The game room smelled like cigarettes & really needs the stairs & floors painted or at least a good mopping. There were dead bugs on window sills in both houses. My step mom found a dead cockroach. The cost we all spent was outrageous for what we got! The website states "luxury cottage" which is laughable. Both houses only can sleep 6 people each in 4 queen beds & an unstable top bunk bed that has a missing stair. Website states the 2nd cottage has "2 suites" which is just 2 beds by the kichen. No walls & no door! Website states "grab 14 of your closest friends" but these houses only sleep 12. A couch should not be counted as 2 sleeping spots! If we paid half if what we spent & knew going what we were getting, I'd be okay but this was disgusting. I even saw mouse poop on a kitchen towel in the second house. I could say so much more but you get the picture. The fire pit was very nice

Not what we had hoped for...

Location was very good for our needs. space adequate. primary house fairly clean, although no recent upkeep. Hot tub appeared to be leaking so we didn't touch it. Outside furniture pretty sad and bedraggled. window sills and siding had areas of rotted wood. Duplex is really a garage or pole building with rooms built in., without lowered ceilings .Leaking water in duplex, reported first day. said someone would come out. never addressed. we kept sopping up with extra towels. One bathroom illegally small. Mice droppings in kitchen drawers. (so we didn't use those kitchens. )2 beds needed repair. bedding very worn. outside property weedy near house. Grounds were lovely although appeared unsafe with an old bridge leading into water. Whole estate needs a good overhaul to make for a more pleasant experience. Very narrow driveway if you have a large vehicle.

Rental Needs Some Work

We had a mixed experience with this rental. On the one hand the hosts were very responsive to our questions, and answered them all quickly and thoroughly, and that was very nice! However, there were many other factors that impacted our experience, such as only half of the grill lit, making the food take a lot longer to prepare for our large group. The hot tub was also only half full, cold, and the jets didn't work-- they did send someone out on the 4th of July to try and repair it, which we appreciated! but it still did not work despite two maintenance men coming. The listing also indicated there would be a space large enough for all 12 of our guests to eat together, but that was only the case if we were across the three separate kitchen areas, there was no place we could all gather together comfortably without someone sitting on the floor. A few of the mattresses were low quality and slept like a deflating air mattress. One of the steps on the bunk bed was broken, making it a hazard. There were also some gaps and holes in the flooring in one of the houses, which we found out because someone twisted their ankle falling into one. The basement also had a LOT of spiders, so that area was not accessible to us. Additionally, one of the kitchens in the secondary house had what seemed to be large roach droppings in one of the drawers and under the sink. None of the garbage disposals worked, and 2 of the 3 kitchen sinks clogged. This rental needs some updating and maintenance

Fun location!

Rented this “compound” as we like to call it for OU graduation! It’s a great area and the houses sleep a lot of people! We did have a flash flooding event with ended up with our sons car being under water up to the bumper! Then he fell into the overflowing drainage culvert and the water was over his head. He was pretty scraped up and freaked out but is ok! It could have been really bad. Do NoT park on the lower part of the property if there is a lot of rain!

Needs some fix up

Overall, this could be a great place. After I read a past review had trouble with the hot tub, I checked this right at check in...sure enough...cold and not cleaned. The display on it was flashing on and off. I called the management company as they had requested I do at check in and the person taking my call said she's have to have someone call me back. No one ever did. As I continued looking at it, the side wood panel was off the surround of the hot tub, the electrical panel inside had been opened, and the electrical panel on the side of the house that went to the hot tub was open as well. So it obviously had been down awhile and no one let me know this wouldn't be available. Once we settled in that night, we found that the air hockey table didn't produce air, the water heater down there had a panel off and laying on the floor, neither ice maker in either fridge worked, and there was an unfinished ceiling patch in the second building. The place otherwise is well represented by the pictures they have. The cleaning team does do a good job.

Chill Bachelorette Party

We booked this property for a chill bachelorette party. We wanted plenty of space to spread out, play games and be comfortable. The property was clean, well taken care of and comfortable! The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils for us to use when cooking up meals. We will definitely be staying here again! And would definitely recommend it as the place to stay for a large group!

Enjoyable location

Overall this was a great location for a short stay, and spending quality time with family. A few amenities were lacking. Discovered upon arrival that Wi-Fi would be unavailable which prevented smart tvs from working. The air hockey paddles are slightly damaged and there are no bean bags for the cornhole set. Those minor items aside, we enjoyed the location, exploring around the lake, and utilizing the fire pit. The customer service staff were very nice during checkin and checkout.

The host was very quick to reply to questions, the property was really nice as advertised, and it was a great space for many people (we had 11 in our party). This place is ahhhhmazing! Seriously it was perfect for our family..I would love to live there permanently. Our kids loved the hot tub! We cooked all of our meals there and ate together. It was so clean and adorable. I would 100%recommend this!

Great location!! Would definitely go back.

Good for any event happening at Ohio University or going to Hocking Hills. Secluded, great location and plenty of room for the party of 10 we had. Liked using the garage below for games and having fun. Buildings were very clean. Yes, a couple of the buildings are a little out dated but who cares. If you want expensive things then pay for expensive place. We loved it here and would definitely go back!!

Very clean and large accommodations. Nice quiet location. We were riding Windy 9 and the garage was large enough for all cycles to remain indoors. The place was super clean. Will come back again, highly recommended!
