Being one of a handful of ski-in/out condo properties on Aspen Mountain, this cozy vacation rental is a hidden gem. Lift 1A is right next to the property and after a stroll down South Aspen Street you will find Aspen's numerous shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife. As the property is tucked up against the mountain it is a quiet and peaceful retreat with easy access to downtown. Take advantage of the on-call free Downtowner Shuttle to get you anywhere you need to go in the Aspen Core! The condo is located on the 2nd floor, without elevator access, but the views are worth the stairs!
Ski in / ski out to Aspen Mountain*, the Shadow Mountain complex is the perfect spot for a great winter or summer getaway. This inviting home offers great views, and a location that is close to downtown but nestled on Aspen Mountain. You will feel so relaxed in this welcoming space. The living area, with gas fireplace provides expansive views of Aspen and an inviting space to gather after a day of exploring all that this amazing resort has to offer. The large newly remodeled kitchen has everything you need to prepare great meals. Newly installed air conditioning on the upper level creates a comfortable space to unwind during the warm summer months. The two bedrooms are located on the lower level with one full bathroom. Another full bathroom is located on the upper level.
Any time of year this condo is a great choice when coming to visit the Aspen Snowmass area. It is ideal for a small family or a few friends traveling together. After enjoying a hot cup of coffee and a hearty breakfast, stroll just a few feet to the snow to ride the Shadow Mountain Lift (Lift 1-A) and start your ski day. At the end of your day, or for a quick lunch stop, you can store your skis right outside the front door and the entry has plenty of space for boots and coats. The seasonal outdoor heated pool is comforting after a long day on the mountain and there is a common area gas grill and picnic area for enjoying apres ski with some burgers and beverages! The pool is closed in spring and fall.
Complimentary parking for one vehicle in the on-site lot. Additional vehicles will need to be parked off-site.
**Property is located on the 2nd floor and does not have elevator access. There is a funicular located a flight of stairs up from the parking lot, however the funicular can be particular. No refunds if it's not operational. We'll gladly help with luggage during normal business hours. We ask that you contact in advance of your arrival to schedule this.
*Portable AC units for the downstairs bedrooms are available for rent.
*Early and late season Shadow Mountain lift access dependent upon snow conditions. Aspen Mountain Gondola is 3 blocks away.

All iTrip Aspen Snowmass properties have WIFI and all rentals are stocked with professionally laundered linens and towels and a starter supply of the following: coffee, tea, paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, trash bags, sponge, dish detergent and soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and hand soaps. If your home has a wood burning fireplace we provide a starter supply of wood. Additional stock of these items are available for purchase at the local grocery stores.

Beautiful quiet oasis up a hill on the edge of town at base of Ajax mountain. Gorgeous mountain views from the living room and a 5-10min walk to/from downtown- the hill is pretty steep for those not used to the altitude but if you have a car or can use the free Downtowner app for local pickup and delivery.

Great location
Great location, it was easy to walk anywhere in the town from this spot. The place was clean and there were plenty of extra supplies. The pool was closed when we visited which was a bit of a bummer given how hot it was in the summer.

Great location for skiing Aspen mtn
We had a great stay and some wonderful skiing. The property is located right at the base of lift 1. The unit had a well stocked kitchen and the beds were very comfortable. You do need to be aware the the walk from town back to the unit is uphill.

Shadow mountain Aspen
The booking process was easy and the property managers were very communicative and attentive. The property was ideally located in Aspen, a few blocks from downtown. It was clean and maintained, just a little dated. Only caveat is upon arriving finding the unit was a little challenging (as it was dark and snowing), and unaware of the multiple stairs to climb needed (may want to highlight for people wiht disabilities)

Amazing & Rare Two-Bedroom Ski In/Out on Ajax/Aspen Mountain!
A great two-bedroom condo. Perfect for up to four people. My husband and I went with our 20-year old twins for a week of skiing. We have been to Aspen many times and this is our favorite place to stay. Five things that make it great:1. Location: It is almost impossible to find a two-bedroom condo with ski-in/ski-out access to the mountain. This condo is located right next to Lift 1A AND it is a three-block walk to town block town. You have access to the mountain, town and it also comes with a parking spot. 2. The View: Incredible. Short of being in a mansion on Red Mountain, you won't find a better view of Aspen. 3. Condo: First floor is open concept kitchen, dining and family room with a full bath. Lower/second floor is two bedroom (king twin) with shared full bath, as well as laundry. Condo is part of Shadow Mountain Condo complex and comes with a grill, firepit, and (heated) pool. 4. Fully Stocked with Custom Finishes: Clearly a condo owned by someone who loves and uses it. Not one of those rentals devoid of supplies or furnishings. Kitchen has everything you can imagine from margarita glasses to several types of graters, a lemon press, natural stone counters, a Viking stove/cooktop and custom millwork. The family room has a small library and games with a gas fireplace. 5. Super Clean: Spotless with nice linen and both medium and soft pillows. Condo comes with shampoo, hand lotion, TP, paper towels, trash bags, laundry dishwasher detergent etc.

This place exceeded all expectations. Gorgeous unit with excellent views , fully tricked out with everything we could have wanted, and a wonderful location right next to the lift an easy 5 minute walk to town. Plus great communication from the owner. We hope to return!

Great ski on/ ski off!
This was a beautiful condo in very close proximity to downtown! There is a significant hill to walk up to the property, but if you’re in good shape it wouldn’t be a problem. As for skiing, true ski on/ski off with a lift right outside the complex. My first impression was that the unit was a little smaller than I expected, but plenty big enough for the 3 of us. The kitchen is very nicely renovated! With regards to the management company, we could not have been happier! They gave us excellent info on services, such as a grocery store that had our kitchen stocked before we arrived. We had a code to get in the unit, and our lift tickets were waiting in the unit for us! The best management I’ve ever encountered and we rent often! Definitely recommend:)

The place is cozy and warm, pool is really warm too. Had everything we needed and could not be a better location. Bring some type of traction for your shoes because the parking lot and path to town are steep amd icy.
