VILLA DE VERDE — ASSAGAO, GOA

A four-bedroom villa with a private pool, tucked into the green heart of Assagao — a village known for its old Portuguese houses, its deep shade, and its refusal to hurry. You're minutes from the coast, and completely apart from it.

Built across three floors in stone, timber and lime plaster, the house has tall green-framed windows that pull the garden inside from almost every room. All four bedrooms are en-suite, sleeping eight adults comfortably; the two master bedrooms have freestanding bathtubs set beside picture windows looking into the trees.

Downstairs, an open-plan living and dining space runs straight out to the pool. Upstairs, a glass-walled terrace room catches the last of the evening light — quite possibly our favourite spot in the house. There's a lift, a fully equipped kitchen, air-conditioning throughout, and parking for three cars.

An optional in-villa chef service is available as a paid add-on, with 24 hours' notice.

Assagao sits inland, deliberately away from the crowds — some of North Goa's best eating is a few minutes away, and Anjuna and Vagator are a short drive. Our caretaker, Manini, will meet you on arrival and is on hand throughout your stay.
