Great place to get away from everything, do not expect to have everything at your fingertips. Its the way it is for a reason , a get away from life and a bit of just normalcy. I personally think the sulfur smell from the well water is overexaggerated. It honestly was not bad. We carried a couple packs of water even though Ryan told us he would have some. I just take it that its an expense I should have , just like toilet paper or paper towels etc. One night the lightning took out the surge protector on the wifi dish beaming across to his house but he was on it. Soon as I told him , he was over there figuring things out and me being a network tech , I helped , gladly. It was up and running next day. It was late when it went out but first thing in the morning , the rooster was crowing and Ryan was checking on things. Damn decent dude. I was impressed. He was a great host , admirable and what we got is what we paid for , did not expect lavish , just expected privacy and quiet solitude. Thats exactly what we got. Wife and granddaughter enjoyed the pool. Almost daily and we went to a few museums , WW2 museum was really good. Thanks to Ryan and his family for putting up with us. You guys were awesome. I wish you and ya family the best with your rental and with life itself. Thank you.

The cabin was as advertised; a nice quiet escape from everyday life. Ryan, the host, was very responsive to my questions, and given that his family lives on the property, respected our privacy. I think I saw his family once in our weeklong stay. If you’ve never had well water, you may be kind of surprised of the smells, minerals, etc., well I have so it was no big deal, especially since they make a note of it up front. The staircase mentioned is fine, however heed his warning that if you are physically challenged, it may not be the best option unless you don’t mind sleeping downstairs. We were provided linen, dishes, start up coffee (hallelujah!), and misc games to play. Our time in the cabin was fun and allowed our family to have a great time together. The lake, too large to be a pond, is a treasure if you like to fish. My son and I only had one opportunity to fish and the bite was on. You can tell it is a low pressured lake. I caught a nice 3lb bass within 20 minutes of fishing. A John boat along with trolling motor and batteries were available to us for use but due to the nature of our visit, we didn’t have the time to take advantage of that. I can only imagine. The Satilla grocery store is right around the corner for anything you need for your stay and the full kitchen is at your disposal, along with a grill downstairs and a fire pit. You can’t beat it. I will be using this place for my next visit and will definitely take advantage of the fishing!!

The property was just as listed / described. Wasn’t expecting the roads into property being so bad. Very muddy and not very driver friendly unless you have a truck or off road vehicle. Couldn’t find a spot to fish from with all water features on the property

My father, son, and I had a great time. We spent several days on the property fishing on the private lake. We caught a bunch of fish and I would certainly recommend this property for anyone who just wants to get away for a few days on private property with there own lake to fish on! The house was nice and clean and was stocked with all basic necessities as described. With a local grocery store a mile away.Host lives on property with there children and were a pleasure to interact with at various times during our stay. I would certainly recommend staying here for anyone who needs a weekend getaway and a fishing rod in there hand. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

This is a 10/10 place, loved everything about it the host is very kind they truly make sure you’re comfortable! The walk to the lake is beautiful you can watch the sun set and rise and very pet friendly if your dogs like to run outside in an open field we will be back!!!

Great secluded family stay

House was as described, clean and had amenities such as pack n play and high chair which are helpful. Well water was not unbearable. Beds comfy. Property was beautiful to explore, not hard to find and there is a grocery store and a couple of places to eat close. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Helped us find things to do close with our kiddos. Definitely will be staying again

Wonderful! Refreshing Natural Setting w/ Great Host

This was one of my favorite VRBO stays. The property was so refreshing. I took several long walks and didn't want to come back to the cabin it was so pleasant. A grocery store is less than 10 minutes away. The cabin was nice too. We enjoyed movies and the provided games. The neighnorhood felt safe and accessible (though I took it slow with my little Prius) but was still defintely out in nature and off the beaten path. The host stays next door and is friendly, helpful and responsive. Looking ut the windows to the grass, trees, garden beds and chickens just was like medicine to my soul. It was a lovely time. Thank you guys! (Do note the spriral staircase to the loft area where the beds are. It's really cool, but I don't recommend if you're later in pregnancy or have trouble climbing stairs or naivgating tight spots.)

Quite Paradise

This was the second time we have rented this cabin. It’s off the beaten path but yet not to far from convenient places to eat and grocery shop. With a private lake, boat, abundant fishing and a fire pit the stress of daily life seems to melt away. Not to mention plenty of space to let our dogs run too. Ryan, our host, was outstanding and anything we needed or had a question about, got back to us within minutes. Thanks for your hospitality we truly enjoyed our stay. See you next year Ryan and family!

Nice and relaxing

If you are looking for a place to just relax and enjoy some time away from everyday life this is it! Five of us stayed there for 4 nights on vacation. All the amenities of home, beautiful lakes to fish plus river access. One mile from Grocery store etc. The host Ryan is awsome and will check in via email during your stay to insure that you have everything you need. Great place to get away!

Nice property

Pros: It's a nice property, cabin was clean, no bugs or pests at all, lots of open space to explore, nice usable boat, good fishing, cabin is elevated, has a fire pit, owners are very available and helpful, we felt very safe on the property. Owners left us to do our own thing. Negatives: It is in visual range of the owner cabin and not isolated as we wanted. Also the sulfuric water was not pleasant. Overall we were happy with our stay. Thank you.

My host Mr. Ryan was very helpful and nice. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and very clean and affordable. On 132 acres of land the property with 4 private lakes is wonderful. Beautiful scenery quite and peaceful great place for friends family etc. I highly recommend Mr. Ryan and his family cabin to anyone. "5 Star ratting from me"

Hidden Gem

The Cabin and property were exactly what my family was looking for on our road trip from New Jersey. It was a place my kids could explore, adventure and just be kids! We love the neslted privacy of the cabin as well as getting to walk the land and enjoy the lake and pool. We also got to visit nearby places such as Savanah and Jekyll Island. Ryan was an extraordinary host before during and after our stay . He personally showed us the land and was always ready to help to make our stay the best it could be . We will be back !

Wonderful secluded space not too far from the beach!

This location was perfect for a weekend getaway! The cozy space was well equipped and the property was fantastic for us outdoor lovers! We loved the trails and lake especially. Ryan was such a highly communicative host and made sure that we had everything that we needed for our stay. It was definitely appreciated! This property is a short drive away from Jekyll Island and St. Simons as well. Highly recommend!

A breath of fresh air!

Comfortable accommodations enhanced by rural setting. We hiked (easy to follow, well maintained trails) through woods, along lakes and swampy areas, complete with cypress knees and waterfowl. Enjoyed the pool and boating on the lake. The fishing outing was successful (released them back for our next visit). But, most appreciated overall was the peaceful, rural, and private setting of the property maintained by nearby hosts (should you have a question or need). Will definitely visit again! Thinking about an Autumn visit with s’mores at fire pit and more hiking and fishing. Or Winter visit with reading and a blanket by the fire and more hiking.

Peaceful and relaxing get away

We had a wonderful stay at this property, and it was just the relaxing get-away we were looking for. We enjoyed fishing on the private lake, cooling off in the pool, and hiking the trails with our dog. The owners' hospitality was superb! We definitely want to come again.
