We found the Hummingbird Suites to be just what we needed for our visit to the Bar Harbor area. It was a very convenient distance from downtown Bar Harbor (less than 10 minutes) and general Acadia park access. We also took a trip an hour away to Castine to do a bioluminescent kayaking tour. The suite was clean and comfortable to come back to for relaxing, especially after we did a 27-mile bike trip one day, which we mapped out on the huge map in the suite. We enjoyed watching the ducks, geese, and chickens in the garden area and got to taste goose eggs for the first time since the eggs were available for our use too. Thanks for a great trip!

Perfect spot and only a mile from the entrance to Acadia. The space was quiet and we could truly relax between sight seeing trips. We loved the backyard ducks, geese, & chickens, beautiful gardens, and birds. I would book this space again!

We traveled to Maine to hike in Acadia National Park and enjoy what Bar Harbor has to offer. Even though we realized we were hitting the end of the fall foliage (while still incredible) and many businesses started to close up for the season, this didnā€™t stop us from coming! The Hummingbird Suites was perfectly located amongst it all. So cozy, comfortable and accommodating at the end of a full day of exploring and hiking. A home away from home! Kevin also gave some great recommendations for a couple of hikes in Acadia that didnā€™t disappoint.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was immaculate as advertised. Kevin and Donna are amazing hosts who go out of their way to ensure their guests are comfortable and have everything they need for a pleasant stay. The location is very convenient ā€” close to Acadia, downtown Bar Harbor and other stores and restaurants. We definitely plan to return.

We loved the peaceful setting away from the crowds of town but still was close to Acadia entrance. Hosts were attentive and unit was clean, comfortable and well equipped. FYI, the air conditioner is not central air but is a wall unit in the main room. We left the bedroom door open for some of the cool air at night. Unfortunately, the unit was loud but ear plugs when sleeping took care of that. Probably most of the year a/c won't be needed anyway. Loved the ducks, chicks and geese in the back! They are adorable!

We wonā€™t stay anywhere else for our annual visit to this beautiful area. Itā€™s got all the comforts you need - dishwasher, washer/dryer, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, TV and good WiFi, lovely pretty property, excellent location, and gracious helpful hosts. It was a cute suite. I was under the impression it was a two bedroom and it was only one bedroom. It did work out ok because there was a futon to sleep on. It was close to Acadia National Park and not very far from Bar Harbor. There is a lot of traffic going by day and night. You need to really watch the traffic coming from the right as you face the house. Itā€™s kind of a blind spot

This is the perfect place for a couple to stay if they are visiting Bar Harbor or Acadia as both are minutes away. Everything is clean and functional in the apartment. The kitchen is well equipped. It is close to the highway so there is a good deal of traffic and traffic noise but easy to ignore since everything else was perfect. The Kaneā€™s are nice people and live on site.

The property is amazing with chickens, ducks, geese, and hummingbirds. The suite is perfect for a short term stay with a hopeful host and only 4 minutes to the visitor center where you can ride the free connector bus throughout Acadia and several off site areas.

The humming bird suite was a few miles away from Bar Harbor and had everything we needed. The property had a beautiful wildflower garden and got to see humming birds everyday. They also had chickens and geese in the property and some fresh eggs to buy. Kevin and Donna were wonderful to talk to. We really enjoyed our stay here!

The suite had plenty of room for two. It was clean, comfortable and kitchen was well stock with all the necessary tools to cook and you could purchase fresh eggs from the host. Grounds of property were very nice and enjoyed watching the ducks and chickens. Great location to Bar Harbor.
