„Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Im Zimmer waren die Dusche und das Bett das einzig Positive. Bett war sauber... die Dusche lief einwandfrei. Das Zimmer selbst könnte mal renoviert werden. Teppich voller Flecken, vieles abgestossen an Wänden und Möbel (Wenn vorhanden) Duschvorhang mit Schimmel... “

„Totally confused Receptionist. Claiming only one room of two booked, at much higher rate. Claiming all Expedia's fault. No, it wasn't. Their Reservation was clear, 2 doubles with bath and breakfast. So the 2nd room was freed with shared bathroom and both pretty battered. Expedia had already charged for both ordered rooms, hotel wanted to further charge, which I rejected. Beautiful area, also hotel location at the river bridge and parking. Look for another accomodation. Not worth the hassle.“

„Really nice stay but shine was taken off by one of staff being quite confrontational. Lovely welcome and check-in spoiled by an older lady I believe called Nicola (that’s what came up on the digital till when I purchased a drink later in the evening) who involved herself unnecessarily in the check-in process. „Die Lage des Bay Horse Inn ist nicht zentral, aber mit öffentl. Verkehrsmittel (Bus) gut und günstig erreichbar! Die Unterkunft ist einfach und sauber. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt! Sehr freundlicher Service! Einfaches kontinentales Frühstück - gegen Aufpreis (4 Pfund ) englisch. Wir waren absolut zufrieden !“

„The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!!
