Located at Piedra River Outpost, Cabin 3 is a peaceful mountain retreat offering private outdoor space, shared access to the Piedra River, nearby hiking and fishing, and seasonal guided horseback rides departing from the property. Nestled in the San Juan Mountains just outside Pagosa Springs, this family-friendly cabin is the perfect home base for exploring Southwest Colorado. Set along a gravel Forest Service road, the Outpost offers an authentic mountain experience with wildlife, star-filled skies, and cool summer evenings. Like many mountain cabins in Colorado, Cabin 3 does not have air conditioning, but guests stay comfortable with fans, operable windows, and naturally cool nighttime temperatures.

Designed for comfort, simplicity, and connection to the outdoors, Cabin 3 features two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, providing plenty of space for families, friends, or small groups traveling together.

The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed, while the second bedroom includes two queen beds, comfortably accommodating up to six guests. Inside, warm wood-paneled walls and rustic mountain character create a cozy atmosphere that feels authentic to the surrounding landscape.

The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals before a day on the river, exploring nearby trails, or heading out on horseback. After a day of adventure, gather around the table, relax indoors, or enjoy the peaceful mountain setting outside.
