Pros: Fall unfortunately came earlier than it has the past few years so we were unable to use the lake, but it really was just one house down and the house had nice views of it. (there were tons of kayaks, chairs, noodles, floats, etc.) The house had almost everything we needed, including local guides. (TV is confusing though.) Neighborhood was very quiet. We loved Great Barrington and sighting along the gorgeous country roads. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was huge, lots of space to cook, dishwasher worked great.
Cons: the bedrooms were tiny. Really tiny. The ad says that it sleeps up to seven but there is no way in my mind that it could ever sleep more than 4, or two adults and three kids. There is almost no storage space in the bedrooms except for a tiny closet and a small dresser in the double bedroom. The double bedroom also lacks plugs so good luck charging your phone or using a CPAP in there. The lighting was somewhat dim throughout the house and the lamps in the bedrooms didn't provide much light for reading at night. There were no Kleenex provided which was a bit odd, the house also lacked a kettle/teapot and a pot big enough to boil corn/ anything large in. Also, all of the sauce pans were nonstick which can be an issue for some people.
This is a great house for people who love to be outdoors, or for 2-3 if you will be spending a lot of time indoors.20 minutes to nearest grocery store.
