Hotel Beecher

« We chose this hotel because they have a pool. My teen daughter took 1 look at the debris and bugs floating in it and said no way. The pillows are small and lumpy. But this room single handedly made me realize just how done with hotels I am after this trip. The only curtain covering the window is a sheer white curtain. So you drive all day, go to bed late and exhausted, and you get woke up at 5:45am from the sun coming up. Then some of us still need to drive all day the next day. Now we feel like...

The adults and children were hanging out in the dining room and lobby after 10 pm and my room was right down the hall. They were noisy and when they went to their rooms, they were not quiet in the hallway. »

« Avoid This Place As a Choice member, I expect better than this dump. From the second I pulled in, it was bad news. The parking lot was a cratered mess full of potholes and cracks. Half the sign was ripped off the building, so the whole place looked like it was falling apart. Walked in past some sketchy guy smoking out front who turned out to be an employee. « The location was good for ease of getting on and off the highway. The building, room and parking lot were very clean, they have only been at that location for a year. The area is pretty rural. There is a McDonald’s nearby, a Dunkin’ Donuts and a Charlie’s for eating. And there are a couple of gas stations at that exit. « This hotel has a lot of potential, but my stay was unfortunately disappointing. The toilet didn't flush, the air conditioner was so weak that it did not cool the room, and the bed frame had a metal spike sticking out that actually took a chunk of skin off my leg. What frustrated me most was that the staff already knew about these issues. « We were very disappointed with our stay. The A/C in the room did not work properly, making the room uncomfortable throughout our visit. In addition, the sink drain was broken and leaked water all over the floor whenever it was used, creating both a mess and a safety concern. « My sister and I lost power due to a tornado last Thursday so we got a room at Tru. It was our first time staying there but it won’t be our last. This hotel was simply amazing. The staff was very helpful and nice. The front desk even gave us a tour before we got our room. The pool was nice and surprisingly quiet, and the breakfast was very delicious! I definitely recommend this hotel to any and everyone! »
