Conveniently located to the mountain & town. There were some issues. Fireplace generated an extremely loud fan sound..so loud one couldn’t talk over it. Had to work a little bit to get someone to take action. Turns out that they couldn’t fix it while we were there, so no fireplace. Owner could have at least contacted us acknowledging that..maybe even a few bucks off the rental free. Also, some of the kitchen equipment was very sub par. Toaster terrible, pots & cutlery very cheap quality. Two of the glasses were chipped and cracked. The vents over the heater in kitchen and living room very dirty. The light outside at the step down from the parking was out and both of us almost missed the step and stumbled. Fire alarm started to chirp…took it down to change battery and noticed it had an installed date of 2011! Someone came to change it the next day. Nice fellow. In general, seems like quicker responses would help (even a little communication saying they are still working on the fire place problem is better than none. I had to follow up a couple times) , and a keener eye on the cleaning. I would probably stay again, but these are very simple and inexpensive fixes to make things better. The difference between good and great is the attention to the details. My 40 plus years in the service industry taught me that.
