Serenity with a view
This house never disappoints. We’ve stayed here before and it’s always been a great experience with the property owner. Houses well stocked and spacious offering everyone their own space. The view of Mt. Bachelor is so breathtaking on a clear day! We will stay here again for sure.

Beautiful place to have a small wedding
We just finished our stay at the Whispering Willow Lodge and we had the greatest time spending the weekend with close family and friends. We even got the opportunity to have our small, intimate, 40 person wedding and we truly couldn’t have picked a better place to have the wedding of our dreams! Inside the house and the surrounding property was PERFECT for us to all spread out and be able to spend time together. Vanessa, the property manager, was so great at responding and answering questions in a timely manner for the past year that I have been planning our wedding. We were able to rent items from her which was tremendously helpful seeing that this was a destination wedding. We hope to bring our future children back to this incredible house one day. This VRBO will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Family Reunion
Roomy 5 BR with great access to the Little Deshutes River. Accommodated 13 people with enough privacy throughout 3 levels. Only drawbacks were: the hot tub was too cool and the water too low to use (also very old), sprinklers went on around 9: 45 am and we had to time our walk to the dock between the moving rain birds, and no foil or film wrap in an otherwise well equipped kitchen.

Perfect for our large family
Vanessa's property at Three Rivers was perfect for our large family's annual gathering. Beautiful views and river access, large lawns for games and running the dogs (and water gun wars) and private & quiet spaces for reading and visiting. Best of all, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook and feed everyone. We definitely hope to come back in the future.

Family reunion At Weeping Willow Lodge
This property has been the best we havehad in our 8 years of family reunions. It is almost perfect for6 adults,3 teens, one child and 3 dogs! Huge fenced yard,well stocked kitchen and plenty of room for get togethers/ games or just some isolation. That said, for the price, there should be a few more amenities...hammock and a couple of kayaks would be fantastic. We plan to return next year!

Respite from the heat in Texas!
Big house which fit our family of 12 very nicely! First few days were a bit colder than we expected but enjoyed visiting the many local sites! Last few days were a lot warmer and the kids (and adults) enjoyed floating the Little Duschutes! ! Great family time!

Perfect Home Away from Home
Our extended family spent Christmas in this lovely home! It was a perfect setting for our family of 11 - everyone had plenty of space to play separately or together. We were able to get 11 adults around 1 kitchen table and there was another table in the kitchen for 4 more - which we had designated as the “jigsaw puzzle table”. There are 3 living rooms to satisfy everyone for games, tv programs or conversation. Loved the 3 car garage to house vehicles and the kitchen is very well stocked regarding cooking utensils, pot/pans, plates etc. Beds were comfortable and there was climate control on each level.Ten minute drive to Sunriver Village for ice skating or shopping. Plenty of room to store your ski gear at the house too! Will definitely return this summer!

Absolutely beautiful
This house and the property were amazing. The kids loved the yard, the river, the pingpong table and the three year old couldn't get enough of the Foos Ball. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, appliances, herbs and spices. There was so much room the older kids could have their own bedrooms. We rented this so our kids and grandkids could attend a family wedding with us. We only had the weekend but wished we'd booked the space for longer. Would love to return, especially earlier in the year so we could use the fire pit.

We are hooked on this property for vacation.
This was our second time staying at this property and it was even better than the first time. The kitchen is VERY well stocked and we really enjoyed cooking in it. The deck at the river made it easy to get in and out. There are definitely enough places in the house for everyone to hang out together. The lawn is spectacular and the location is perfect. The last time we went we hardly left the property because we enjoyed it there so much - the same thing happened this time. I only wish we would have booked it for longer. I can't recommend this house enough.

Amazing place!
This property is a great vacation place. It has a great view of Mt. Bachelor, quick access to the river and a huge backyard. This location was the perfect spot to have a large gathering. The house was fully equipped and then some. Communication with the host was great, she was very responsive and helpful. Highly recoomend it!

Wispering Willow Lodge
As a whole, we were very pleased with the location and layout of the property. It bedrooms and baths suited our needs quite well with 6 adults, two teens and one infant. The kitchen, while fairly small for a large group was very workable and very well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, and kitchen tools needed for cooking, grilling, etc. On the downside, the hot tub was never hot and given the temperature outside that was probably good, but it should have been hotter than just luke warm. The propane tank ran out on our last night and have to believe that it was not full to start. Next, the dishwasher would not properly dissolve the "pods" provided so we had to cut them open and extract the powder to get dishes clean. Suggest you convert to powder! Lastly, the host never had personnel contact or called to see if there was anything we needed. We did get a text about a fire that was close by, but that was all. I don't want to be picky because Vanessa was great when I had questions when making the reservations and after, but it would have been nice to have touched bases. All in all, it was great and we plan on tryiing to reserve again for next year!!

Bend weekend trip
House was large and had plenty of space for entertaining. House might be on a well because the water smelled a little odd. Also, this is out of their control, but the mosquitos were VERY BAD. We didn't really even go outside because when you stepped out back they were everywhere. Advice, bring a lot of bug spray. House and owner were great though.

July 4th family gathering
The property is beautiful and a perfect place for family and friends to gather. The location is private yet close to local attractions. We experienced some issues with the bbq not working properly. Also, basement toilet would not flush very good. There was damage (broken) to a ceiling light fixture in the bonus room upstairs. Grandchildren threw a pillow that hit the light, causing breakage. Let me know how to resolve the issue. Overall, we had an awesome gathering and hoping to be there again in the future. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy the beautiful home.

LOL it's pretty good you need to fix a couple of things
It would be handy to have a broom to clean up stuff and so far in the water is very bad you can't take a shower or drink of the water or you get sick open ball it was pretty good thank you

Amazing!
This property was so wonderful. We had a get together with friends and family to celebrate a marriage. The house was perfect. Most of the time was spent outside enjoying the backyard! Kids ran around adults got to relax. The rooms were all perfect for small families and the master we got to enjoy to the fullest. Great living area, kitchen and playroom upstairs for the kids. We are so happy with our weekend we got to spend here. Highly recommend staying at this property

Wonderful Property
Everything was just as described! Home was incredibly well stocked and great accommodations for a couple of families. Fire pit area was a hit, didn’t use river due to cool weather but would be a great time on a sunny day! Big, well maintained grassy yard for games and ample seating indoors and outdoors. Would definitely stay again! And agree with other reviews with regards to bringing drinking water as well water is not our favorite. Highly recommend!

The location, view, and overall stay was wonderful. However, the grill was broken and the oven wouldn’t heat past 375 degrees making cooking for 8 on nothing but a stove a real hassle and when we contacted the manager she never responded. Wish we could have enjoyed our meals as much as the rest of the property.

Overall, this location and the house was great. A lot of space inside, and the outdoors is wonderful. The only improvement that this place needs is more cleanliness. Dishes were not clean (we had to wash all the dishes that we used)and inside could really use dusting (we cleaned dining room table, along with the kitchen counters, and such). Also, we highly suggest that the owner uses white linens on all their beds. Besides these few areas of much needed improvement, overall experience was very good. We would love to go back summer time.

This location is spectacular!
We had our wedding at this property & it is everything we could've ever wanted! Beautiful views right by the river with a view of bachelor! The property is nice and looks just like the listing, but there were numerous things that were wrong. The toilet in the hall sticks, the water is BROWN, the water pressure in the master bedroom shower is zero to none, the ice dispenser on the refrigerator did not work, the AC unit never worked, the hot tub was dirty and over filled then kept shutting off because it was so over filled. If we’re paying 500+ dollars a night, you expect it to be in the best shape. I got tired of having to text Vanessa about every little thing so I just let it go, just decided we won’t stay again. It’s a shame too, because it is perfect for large families.

I’m sorry to hear of your experience during your stay. Being that Whispering Willow Lodge is a country home it does run on well water and does have a bit of a higher iron content. The home does have an extensive water filtration system for the interior water. The exterior water does not therefore can have a slight rust color to it. The AC unit is brand new in June, possibly just some confusion on how to operate. The ice machine arm does need to be in the down position to generate ice. In regards to the hot tub, it sounds like it may have been left less than great after the previous guests, a quick call to the maintenance company could have remedied this situation. I wish that your few concerns had been brought to my attention sooner. We thank you for the feedback.

Fantastic stay! Gorgeous, private property and river access, well-equipped, room to spread out, kids loved ping-pong, foosball and slide. Better than photos. The house is beautiful and clean but lived in enough to feel comfortable having kids there. Easy drive to Sunriver & Bend, but we hardly left because we loved it so much. Only downsides were a couple of beds weren't the most comfortable, and the AC had a hard time keeping up on the hottest (100 degree) day. Other than that, loved it! Wouldn't be surprised if my family broke the tradition of going new places for reunions and rebooked here

Large family summer vacation
The property was unique for our needs with 15 of us and lots of things to do. The river access was a real draw for kids and adults. It was 20 miles out of Bend but real close to the Lava Caves, hiking trails, High Desert Museum and Sunriver. Nice place.

Beautiful getaway for large groups
We rented this home and three families stayed, six adults and six kids. There was MORE than enough room for everyone to sleep or enjoy a quiet nook. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked. One of our favorite features was the huge deck facing the river and the sunset. We enjoyed a sun river thunderstorm too. Thank you for an easy check in/check out process. One of the nicest, prettiest, spacious, private places we’ve ever stayed. Very well equipped in the kitchen. Plenty of space for our group of 9. Perfect for our small wedding
This house is beautifully located and perfect for groups. It's very homey and comfortable. We had my daughters small wedding in the beautiful backyard and it was perfect! I rented 3 tables with chairs and the wedding arbor which were onsite when we arrived. The sprinklers came on the day before the wedding, and would have come on during the wedding ceremony, so I emailed Vanessa right away and within 10 minutes 2 guys were there to shut them off for the next day. It rained the morning of the wedding but by 3 it was cloudy but dry and perfect. The temperature throughout the home was easy to set and soon we had everyone comfortable. Kitchen is great and we enjoyed the bonus room upstairs. The only complaint I have is in the downstairs bedroom with the bunk beds, which is where my husband and I slept with our 3 grandson's, the full size bed mattress is not good. There was a definite dip in the middle of the bed, I'm not sure if it's the mattress or the frame of the bunkbed that caused it, so not comfortable. My 11 year old grandson slept on the top bunk, but it was so noisy every time he moved, we ended up putting him on the couch in the small room between the two downstairs bedrooms. It would be an ok room for kids to sleep in, but if it was my home, I would definitely replace the entire set up. The king bed in that room was good. Overall the house was great and we really want to rent it again and not have to worry about setting up a wedding, we would love to take advantage of the wonderful outdoor setting, and just relax and enjoy!

This property was beautiful and perfect for our wedding and plenty of room for our family. My only recommendation would be bring extra towels and toiletries. Our bathroom didn't have any so we shared with the others. We have already talked about visiting again.

While maximum number is 16, that would be too crowded in my opinion. Please note the listing says it’s in Sunriver but it’s actually several miles south of Sunriver.

Fantastic Stay!
Our family of 9 adults 3 children and dogs all enjoyed this house so much. It was our last Thanksgiving with our father and it couldn’t have been better. The house has a gorgeous view, with easy access and ample space for everyone. It’s only a few minutes drive to Sunriver Lodge and shopping area and a quick 20 minute drive to Bend. The kitchen was so well stocked that half the kitchen supplies I brought didn’t get used. The only downfall I’d say was that the property isn’t as close to the Little Deschutes River as I had hoped. It’s accessible but a walk that was out of reach for my father to enjoy. Also there is only one DVD player, again manageable with some switching back and forth from room to the next. I would highly recommend this house and hope to stay again in the future! It’s fantastic!

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Whispering Willow Lodge. Has the most beautiful view of the mountain and it actually snowed when we were there and it was so beautiful. Definitely recommend. Plenty of room for everyone and had everything you would need.

Great location for a family gathering
A large back yard with plenty of grass is a somewhat rare occurrence in this area. We enjoyed playing yard games and sitting on the patio and deck. Great house and the property manager made the whole process as easy as can be.

Amazing place for family or friend reunion
Owner was great and beautiful home! There were 4 teen/tween girls that loved the room with all the beds. 2 boys that were great in the bunks. 7 adults with plenty of bedroom space. Kitchen was well stocked and we had a great time making family dinners there along with the patio bbq. Huge back yard. Kids enjoyed the river access and the hot tub and the game room. Plenty of dining space between a large dining table and high top kitchen table. 2 fridges. Close to so many fun places. Fun times around the fire pit in the evenings. I highly recommend this property!
