« Wonderful rustic cottage with lots of space, beautiful woodwork inside, in a wonderful setting. Waking up to the sound of birds, then strolling down to the river on a tree covered path reinforces your feeling of well being. Kitchen well equipped. Good hot shower. One warning, there are lots of steps outside which were not a problem at all for me and I am over 70years old, but could be for someone else. »

« This is a really beautiful, modern home in a quiet and peaceful redwood forest, while still being less than a 10 minute drive from groceries, dining, etc. The kindness and generosity of the host cannot be overstated. We loved our stay! »

« My husband and I wanted to get away and found this gem. I’m picky about cleanliness and this place was IMMACULATE! We appreciated all of the attention to detail throughout. Enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after hiking. Loved the hammock. And the nod to pulp fiction in the bedroom. Lexi is incredibly responsive and friendly and every detail was noted. « Aside from the patio furniture that was not cleaned and a bit weathered, the overall stay was great. The listing said to bring charcoal for the grill, but it wasn’t necessary because there was a propane grill and I also received an email the day of our arrival that charcoal was not allowed. I called the property manager to clarify this, but they never got back to me. Inside the cabin was very clean and cozy. »

« We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was great. Easy access to Healdsburg for wine tasting. The river was lovely for swimming and paddle boarding. We saw lots of wildlife. Egrets, deers, otters, raccoons. Fabulous. »

« We had a wonderful stay at the Old Timer. What a cozy and relaxing treasure of a house. The deck looking over the river was so relaxing and peaceful. The fireplace was a beautiful element that made the evenings so cozy. The entire space was spotlessly clean, and the space was just as it looked in the photos, with the comfiest couch to lounge on. I would definitely return in the future and recommend to others. »

« The place was amazing and we were so happy we stayed there. We would go back again in a heartbeat. It is a short walk away from the public Monte Rio beach and restaurants and it is a short drive away from the ocean or Santa Rosa in the other direction. »

« We enjoyed our stay because this was a convenient home base as we took day trips to the River, Armstrong Redwoods, and Jenner. The kitchen, bedrooms, and baths are well-equipped making it easy to relax after a day out and about. We also enjoyed eating on the patio. The home helped make for a wonderful trip! »
