« Respite was used as a hub to places we could walk to…it was hot but that’s not your fault. We were close to most to places we wanted to visit. We ate breakfast there at most days…delicious. Great staff. A lot of help to find our way around. At night we ate at wonderful restaurants, never the same twice. »

« The house is so warm and inviting...like home away from home. Very clean and comfortable. We liked the location, which is near the lake, on a quiet street of houses. Lake Barkley State Park is less than 2 miles away and Cadiz was only 7 miles. We loved the sun porch, where we spent a great deal of time in spite of the high temperatures.We appreciated the extra toiletries in each bathroom and ample kitchen necessities. We had a great stay here. We were happy! »

« If you are looking for a 5 star house this may not be your cup of tea. Although the house could use some maintenance the overall experience was great. Cleanliness was pretty good, like any place there are some detailed cleaning that could be done but couldn't my house too ;) Everything was clean and comfortable. Owner was excellent to work with and very quick to respond to any inquiries. We had a family gathering and there was plenty of chairs in the shade and yard for the kids to play in. The...

« The house itself was nice and worked out well for our family (5 adults and 2 children). It was nice and clean with plenty of space. There was lots of wildlife. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. The roads to the house were not great (narrow and in poor condition with sharp corners and steep banks). I would not suggest pulling a boat or trailer to the house. There are steps down to the dock, but they are rough. The power at the dock had been damaged and did not work. ...

« Staff was informative and friendly. Breakfast was great and choice of in house breakfast and passes was unique. Everything was clean…rooms were spacious and well stocked. The area was activity.filled. We went to museums, stores and galleries. Everything was in walking distance. Also there are a variety of restaurants we enjoyed. All in all, Paducah was a charming, hospitable place to visit. »
