In any season, Kangaroo Cabin at Berrara Beach offers a variety of opportunities for relaxation in a beautiful, tranquil, natural environment. This clean, contemporary, non-smoking chalet has a stained weatherboard exterior with a large wooden deck for alfresco dining. The combination dining and lounge room faces the water view. The chalet sleeps 5+ with one bedroom having a queen bed and the second having a combination double-single "trio" bunk. The couch in the lounge room can comfortably sleep a small child if desired.

Linen and towels are not supplied (contact our office for the local linen-hire company)

No smoking inside the chalet

Inside:
All rooms have ceramic tile floors except the bedrooms that are carpeted. The chalet has a fully equipped modern kitchen including electric stove with oven and grill, microwave, coffee plunger, teapot, toaster, quality kitchenware and fittings, iron and ironing board. The bathroom has a ceramic tile shower and basin with a separate toilet. A slow-combustion wood burning stove provides warmth for cosy winter nights. If you wish entertainment beyond what the natural surrounds offer, there is a TV, DVD and stereo CD player. There are also a family DVD collection, modest reading library and games for all ages.

Outside:
Kangaroo Cabin looks out over the tidal Berrara Lagoon with crystal clear water where you can swim, float or walk just 200 meters to Berrara Beach where the surfing, boarding and swimming are tremendous. The front deck of the cabin is a perfect place to relax watching the kids play or swim in the lagoon, enjoy a meal cooked on the BBQ or just gaze lazily at the brilliant sunsets over the water in the twilight or the incredibly starry night sky. You will hear the sound of the surf and feel the ocean breezes scented with salt air.

Wildlife abounds with kangaroos, wallabies, possums, bandicoots as well as a variety of lizards that frequently sun themselves beside the chalet. The rich birdlife includes white belly sea eagles, king parrots, rainbow lorikeets, satin bowerbirds, endangered hooded plovers, oystercatchers, kookaburras, kingfishers and numerous honeyeaters.

Location:
Facing the tidal lagoon, Kangaroo Cabin is just 200 metres from the beach. The property is bordered by Conjola National Park and Nature Reserve and is surrounded by bush and heaps of safe, open community play space for kids. The beach stretches for two kilometres to the south, then over a headland called Mermaid Pool for many more kilometres of untouched beach backed entirely by the National Park.

Please note that Berrara Waters Chalets are a Private Estate and NOT a Holiday Resort. Please respect others by reducing noise levels in all outdoor areas after 10.00pm.

Upon booking we require a security deposit plus credit card details. Once the property is inspected after your departure and no issues are found your security deposit will be released into your nominated bank account via BSB and Account Number and credit card details are destroyed within two weeks.
