Châteaux à Berwick-upon-Tweed

« Ideally situated close to the centre of Berwick Upon Tweed. Excellent value for money. Compact room with small double bed, comfortable enough but a bit creaky. TV, Kettle and fridge in room aswell as a hairdryer. A few minor issues that could be improved upon are; TV is ok if you are connecting somwthing to it but the signal for the digital channels is terrible. There is no mirror next to plug sockets for styling hair etc. There are only 3 parking spaces and when we were there the first night,...

« We stayed for 3 nights at the White Swan. We booked at 2 days notice, and got the last room available, so I wasn’t surprised that it was quite a smallish room, but very very clean and comfortable. Breakfast - the Northumbrian - was magnificent, setting us up for a full days walking with no room or need for lunch. Then in the evening, it was a village pub, with village pub prices, friendly staff and locals happy to talk, and really great food, again at very reasonably prices. We really enjoyed...
