- Set just a short walk from the beautiful beaches of the Northumberland coast, this bright and welcoming lodge is perfectly placed for days out across coast and countryside. The historic border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed is just a couple of miles away, with its ancient walls, independent shops and riverside walks. Explore the castles at Bamburgh and Alnwick, follow the causeway to Holy Island, or take in the wide open landscapes of the Northumberland National Park. With the Scottish Borders close by too, this is a great location for discovering dramatic scenery, rich history and charming villages across both counties.
The ground floor features a spacious open-plan layout combining kitchen, dining and lounge areas. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer and dishwasher, and there’s a dining table with seating for four. The lounge area offers comfortable sofas, a Smart TV and a feature fireplace with electric flame-effect fire, ideal for relaxing after long days out exploring. Also on the ground floor is a modern family bathroom, complete with a bath and walk-in shower. Upstairs are two bedrooms in the eaves, a double with a Smart TV and a twin – both with sloped ceilings and good head height throughout.
Large patio doors lead from the living space to a private enclosed patio with outdoor furniture, a great spot for enjoying meals in the fresh air or soaking up countryside views. Shared grounds provide additional places to sit or stroll, and there’s a dedicated children’s play paddock for younger guests to enjoy while the grown-ups take a moment to unwind.
