Family Trip

Perfect home for a large family! We had a group of 8 adults and 6 teenagers! Clean and comfortable. Check-in and out process was quick and easy. Friendly staff. My only complaint was no air conditioning for our hot summer stay.

Stay, but...

A few things to know before staying here. - You have to check in at the Big Bear office to get access to the keys. DO NOT go to the property before checking in first with the office (note- they close at 6pm) - VRBO will not send you an email telling you that you need to go to the Big Bear office first. Their communication sucks. Big Bear office is SUPER nice and understand our frustrations, they have been dealing with this for a while. - Huge downside of this property is that you need to dispose your own trash. For each bag left behind, they will charge you $25. They will only tell you this if you check in at the office. - Plan on eating out, it was almost impossible to cook. Bring your own water as the fridges water does not taste filtered - Overall, they house was great! Rooms were very spacious and clean.

poor quality, dirty, nonfunctional utilities

Our family holiday gathering made the best out of a terrible experience with this rental. The PROs: -large space -convenient location -easy parking The CONs: -arrived with house not clean (dirty towels, trash, filth throughout house, bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom) (we had to call management to complain before a cleaning crew arrived to clean unit. it took 2 hours while our whole family just sat in a corner of the house so the cleaning crew can do their work. hence, it was very disruptive to our vacation.) -bathroom shower was broken for one shower, so we had to rely on the other showers, which was a hassle given the number of people we had. -not enough towels for people. we had to go buy some at the store -parts of the house was broken, such as one of the staircase flooring was broken making it somewhat dangerous to walk up and down the stairs. we had older adults with us, so they were designated to stay downstairs. -given the high price point and location, the amenities were not put to par. Not enough toiletries, not enough amenities, poor quality all around.. -extremely disappointing, especially given the price and all the "professional" fees that were added our bill, it was absolutely not worth it, no pride of service, no pride of ownership, no evidence of wanting customer retention. -in conclusion, one of my worse experience and would not recommend this house or using Avant properties.

Great stay

The house was huge, which was perfect for our big group of 9 adults and 2 kids. Overall it was a great and easy stay. My only issues, which were very minor, was the house post said max 4 cars, but the house sign showed 5 cars, which would have been helpful knowing ahead of time because we definitely had to re-arrange just to ensure only 4 cars were going. It also listed 4 bathrooms but there were only 3, the last may have been locked from us using, but it should only be listed as 3 then. Again, minor issues, would still stay at this house again even though when we were here, the house was listed for sale, so I assume that may not be an option in the future.

Spacious House

Prps: The house and location is nice and close to everything. It was spacious with separate areas for the kids to play. Cons: The house was advertised with 4 bathrooms, and when I checked in, it also gave me a check-in info that shows 5 bed and 4 bath. However, it was only a 3 bath not even extra half bath. A little difficult when there are 13 people in the house. The furnitures were also really dated and dirty. The sofas all had stains, and the nightstands were all dusty. We had to re-wipe everything. The pots and pans can also use an update as the handles and bottle of the pans were all worn to the bottom from heavy usage. Overall, everyone the space and layout of the house, just wished it was a little cleaner and updated.

Great Property for big Group

This house had everything we wanted. Huge space for the kids to run around and play. Hot tub was just a advertised. Rooms were all big and beds were really comfy. Would definitely stay here again with our family!

Family vacation at Big Bear

Well a lot of things when against us on this trip - sudden massive hailstorm that caused a rockslide on the way in, closure of the national forest and all trails in and out of town, but the house was awesome. Plenty of room for us to comfortably stay, clean, well appointed rooms. Kudos to the property managers (WOW rentals) for being flexible as the road closure forced a late checkin.

It was clean, 5 mins away from the shops. Quiet neighborhood. It accomodated us comfortably. We enjoyed the pool and foosball tables! I highly recommend.

Perfect family getaway

We stayed for a long weekend and celebrated and birthday with 3 families. Total of 7 adults, 6 kids and 2 dogs. There was plenty of room for all. We had fun just hanging all out together. There is a pool table, foosball table, hot tub and plenty of TV’s. We went on a walk everyday and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. It was just a little to warm for a few days and the house doesn’t have AC. Put at night it cooled down and we really nice. Everyone was so pleased with the space and layout of the house. We are now planning another trip and will try to stay here again

nice property

A beautiful, clean, roomy house, will recommend as a guest. The only thing that I had a little issue with was a refrigirator that didn't work well at the beginning ,some meat nad shrimp that we brought with us got spoiled , when I have contacted her in regards that she mentioned that it requires another 24 hr at least to work full strength... I think the owner should know about that .Othetwise beatiful property, would come back .

Everything was great and house was well cared for and appointed. We hadnt been made aware of street construction during our stay which made for noisy early mornings and lots of dust but everything else made for a nice get away.

Winter Family Getaway

We had a great time during our stay. The house was huge and the rooms were spacious with lots of beds that can accommodate a big family like ours. We enjoyed watching movies on the big screen tv with surround sound, playing billiards, soaking in the jacuzzi and cooking and eating together without feeling cramped or over crowded.Overall we had an enjoyable weekend.
