We were disappointed with our stay from the outset. As older travellers arriving from the other side of the world with heavy luggage, it was challenging to find our room on the third floor with no lift available. While staff kindly assisted us with our bags on arrival, there was no help offered when we checked out, which made departure quite difficult.
The room itself was lacking several basic amenities. The cupboard intended for a fridge was empty, and there were no glasses, cups, or a kettle provided for making tea. Although there was a coffee machine, two pods were supplied along with a single small plastic espresso cup, which felt insufficient.
The hotel is also located some distance from town, and it would have been helpful to have maps or public transport information available to assist guests in getting around.
On a positive note, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and the TV included Netflix, which allowed us to relax in the evenings with a couple of good movies.
Overall, while there were some good aspects, the lack of essential amenities and practical support made the stay less enjoyable than expected.
