The host was very kind and responsive when we reached out. The property is in a great location and there was plenty of space. When we arrived, there was a receipt from home depot on the table. Upon walking into the master bedroom, we discovered that the curtain rods, blinds, and mounting hardware were scattered across the room on the dresser and window sill. We also noticed that the console table was pushed next to the bed. There was a coating of dust on all the surfaces. We were thrown off by the windows being exposed to the neighboring building. Our major issue for the stay occurred on Sunday night, when a man tried to unlock the door with a code and started yelling into the apartment. There was only a single woman in the apartment at the time, and hearing a stranger yell into the apartment at midnight was unsettling and unsafe. He then explained that there was a leak coming from one of the upper units, and he needed to come in immediately to check on it. As a woman, that did not feel safe, especially with little to no explanation of who was knocking and what the problem was. I went to check on the bathroom myself and noticed a small damp spot in the ceiling and the bath mat was wet. I shared this information with the man at the door, and he finally backed off about coming inside and went to talk to the upstairs units. The water was shut off for the rest of the stay until the last night. Overall there were some major issues with the stay, but the host was responsive.
